I reach for her again and hold her in place. “Don’t tell me how many. I don’t want to kill anybody. You can tell me what you’ve done though. Have you been… shared?”
An uneasy look washes over her face. “Yes.”
“Did you like it?”
“No.”
“Do you want to do it again?” It’s a different question to the last although similar.
“No, do you want to share me?”
“Fuck no.”
“Have you ever shared anybody?”
I fell into my own trap with that. “Yes.”
She bites her lip. “Do you want to
do it again?”
“No. Maybe in my younger days the thought was appealing. I don’t do that anymore.”
“Were you at the club looking for a different fantasy then?”
“No, I wasn’t at the club the other night looking for sex.”
“Why were you there?”
I won’t mention the job. She’ll freak and right now the job is just a thing I’m supposed to be thinking about, but it’s a thing I’m more than considering. “My friend owns the club.”
Her lips part. “What? Oh my God you know the Giordanos?”
The fact that she even knows that name is a tell of what she must have been getting up to.
“I do. So, I was just hanging out when I saw you. Would you have gone with that guy?”
I’m referring to the idiot I heard her talking to. First he wanted to share her with his friends and when he realized she didn’t want to be shared he asked the thing he should have asked in the first place.
“I don’t know. Dante… I was there trying to forget you.” She pulls in a steady breath and mine stops. “When I’m there I try to forget you. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.”
“I don’t want you to forget me.”
“I don’t know what we’re doing. What are we? Do we have to tell my father anything? Couldn’t we just be a secret.”
I don’t want to keep her a secret but I’ve thinking that its’ the only option for now.
“Yes… I think we should go to The Dark Odyssey together. Your father won’t see us there. what do you think?”
She’s nodding even before I can finish the words. “Yes. I want to do that.”
“There’s a few fantasies I’d like to live out with you. Maybe we can explore the dark side together.” I’d love to have her tied up and under my complete control.
A wildness flickers in her eyes that tempts me further.
“I’d really like that.”
