“Robert, you’re a dead man. I will give you a choice on how you wish to spend what little time remains of your life. You can talk and tell me what I want to know, or I can blow your head off. Imagine your head exploding from the impact of my bullet. You’ll feel every ounce of pain when the bullet lodges in your head and the explosion will scatter your brains all over the place. He shakes and his skin goes pale from the blood draining from him.
“Jude doesn’t believe you. He got footage of Olivia on the roof of your club. It’s suspect. You’re one of the strongest people here in L.A. When he learned about your attacks on anybody to do with the Order, he thought you found out he was working with them and took her. He wants her back. You should give her back.”
“I never said I have her.” My lips twitch into a smile.
Robert stares back at me giving me a knowing look.
“But you do… don’t you?” His lips are already turning blue.
I straighten and look at Ilya.
One look and he knows what to do.
I walk away and Maksim joins me.
A second later one lone bullet from Ilya’s gun rips through the night.
Maksim cuts me a glance, but he doesn’t say anything.
He’ll know what this means.
It’s the start of the real war and whoever is coming next will be stronger.
