I grind my teeth as I see the young couple getting to their feet with trays in their hands, hurrying toward one of the trash receptacles, then damn near running out of the food court.
I have an amazing memory.
It takes next to nothing for me to remember exactly what someone looks like and that makes for an easy game of cat and mouse.
Since I had a feeling that what Hollis would say to me wouldn’t be something I’d be able to bear to listen to, I made damn sure that I took in every little thing I could about him from where I stood.
He'd be easy enough to catch up to.
It was one of the things that made me so dangerous, which Hollis didn’t even know.
My uncanny knack for finding people.
It was what I had planned for her had she not come home with me the night we met, but of course that would have been for a much different reason.
But him…
With a nod, I picked up my bags, held out a hand to Hollis, and waited patiently for her to take it before I led us away from the food court, and out of the mall.
You can run, but you can’t hide.
