“You wanna know my secret?” I lean toward Caleb and pretend it’s my turn to whisper. “I think you’re quite handsome.”
Of course, this makes the little boy blush and we all laugh again.
We go into the house and straight to the kitchen. It’s a couple hours past lunchtime and expecting the kids to be hungry when they got here, I prepared a variety of snacks and sandwiches ahead of time.
Brady and I stand back, watching the family of four. Emery tries her best to help her mother make her a plate and Jack stands behind Caleb as he fills his plate to the max. Jack keeps stealing things off Caleb’s plate, making the boy laugh and grab more.
I smile up at Brady when he wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me to his side. He’s watching them with a soft expression on his face.
Feeling my eyes on him, he looks down and drops a kiss on my forehead. “What are you thinking about?”
I grab his hand and bring it to my lower stomach. This isn’t how I wanted to tell him. I wanted to wait and surprise him on our honeymoon. But I can’t think of a better time than right now.
“I’m thinking it’s a good thing we’re getting married in two days.”
His eyes widen, and in the next instant, I’m letting out a loud laugh when he picks me up and starts spinning me around.
