“What can I do?” Coralyn gasped. What can I do to make

things right? What can I do to heal you? What can I do to heal

me? Can we get back whatever it was we shared for a few

minutes before, because that wasn’t like anything I’ve ever

known. What can I do to please you? “Please tell me. Tell me

what you want.” She was too desperate. To needy. Too out of

control. This wasn’t what she’d come here for. She couldn’t

stop. She’d known that she wouldn’t be able to stop, and she’d

still shown up here. “Tell me what to do and I’ll obey. Tell me

how you want to punish me. I want to take it. I want you to do

it.”

Giana’s smile was dark, as black as the deepest part of the

night, and so unearthly beautiful. This was where she found

herself. This was where she let herself go. This, despite what

she’d said, was what she needed. “I’ll tell you the same thing I

told you before. Take off your coat. Take off those jeans. Then,

sweetheart, bend over my desk.”

Giana

She was out of control, and she was about to be plunged

right back into it. An entirely different kind of control. The

events leading up to it were wildly out of her hands, which

Giana found alarming. Her world was crashing down, her

walls were crumbling, and it was all because of this girl who

was begging to be punished. Not just asking. Begging.

If Giana turned and walked through that door and left

Coralyn alone with those papers, it would all be over. That’s
