and she was just good at pretending that it wasn’t. “Does that

mean you’re considering it? I would rather it was spontaneous

and hot but talking it out probably makes sense. Spontaneous

is probably overrated. You need to see it coming so that you

don’t fly away.”

“I’m not a bird.” She expected the irritation to creep up, the

feeling of writhing in her own skin, but the discomfort and

panic didn’t come. She just found a soft, eager, comfortable

anticipation.
