Giana untangled herself and tugged Coralyn up. She kept

her hand wrapped around her wrist and led the way. It was

important to let her do it. Coralyn wanted to push Giana out of

her comfort zone, but she didn’t want to push too far, too fast,

too hard. She could lose her that way, and she was coming to

realize that living in a world where Giana Thompson didn’t

factor in was just about the last thing she wanted to do.

They hadn’t gone back to Giana’s bedroom. They hadn’t

gone back to the office either. The house had at least eight

bedrooms, and they’d spent their time going between them.

Not tonight.

Giana didn’t tug her into the bathroom and give in to a

shower like Coralyn had suggested. She went down the hall

and didn’t stop, but charged ahead, through the door of her

bedroom. It was exactly as Coralyn remembered it.

Giana left the lights off and shut the door, plunging the

room into darkness, which wasn’t like her. Everything they’d

done had been done in the light. Giana walked over to the

dresser and picked up a remote. With a click, a fireplace

mounted on the wall flared to life. Coralyn thought she

remembered the bedroom exactly, but that had obviously

escaped her notice.

“Sit,” Giana commanded. “End of the bed.”

Her blouse swirled around her. She moved so fast that

Coralyn could barely glimpse cut abs and full breasts. Giana

had been gifted with extremely good genetics, but she also

worked out hard. No one had abs like that unless they spent

some time in the gym or with a personal trainer.

Giana went into the huge closet and Coralyn could only

imagine what she was getting from there. Her whole world
