wrong. they were huge. They’re so big because they’re so
simple. I always wanted to be loved and have someone to love.
Now, I have you. My future wife. And one day, we’ll have a
family of our won. Kids and grandkids. We’ll have so many
memories.”
Giana beamed with happiness. “You’re right. Those are
huge dreams. Dreams that we’re going to make our reality.”
“I love you, Giana Thompson,” Coralyn whispered. She
leaned in and breathed the words against Giana’s lips again
before claiming them in a kiss that defied all the odds that
were against them, defied the cold sneaking up on them.
“I love you, Coralyn.” Giana linked their hands together.
She stood up first, holding onto Coralyn and tucking her in her
body, wrapping an arm around her waist.
They walked to their car together, parked at the edge of the
frozen white park. The happiness that radiated from them,
filling them, was so great it couldn’t be contained. It was so
wonderful to be able to put that into the world. It might not be
ever after, but they were happy, and they were going to do
everything to make it last.
