churn out pieces that sounded devilish and aggressive. It made
Claire wonder if there was a secret bad girl hidden under
Haley’s good girl exterior. No one could play with that much
passion, that much feeling, and not mean it.
Claire pushed open her bedroom door and froze.
Her private space, just like her office, had been intruded.
This time, Haley wasn’t browsing through the work on
Claire’s desk. She didn’t stop, caught red handed, her face
scarlet. No, this time she had a much more sinister plan.
She was perched on the end of Claire’s bed, her arms at
either side of her, one leg crossed saucily over the other. How
long she’d been there, Claire had no idea. Would she have
waited all night? Feelings. Boxes. Stop. You don’t care.
Care or not, Claire couldn’t tear her eyes away. Haley had
done herself up in the most ridiculous outfit. A schoolgirl
costume that wasn’t a costume at all. The red plaid skirt with
the pleats wasn’t cheap. It looked vintage. Her knee-high
socks had lace at the top and she was wearing black kitten
heels on her feet. A white blouse, mostly see through, had
been pulled up and tied just under Haley’s breasts, exposing
her flat stomach and a white lace bra that pushed her breasts
up into perfect round globes.
Claire’s mouth went dry. Her body started to shake, but she
cut that off immediately. She rocked back on her heels but
stopped herself from doing it again. Her black slacks and her
scarlet silk blouse felt too tight. She couldn’t breathe. The air
was heated again. Haley had turned the room to fire, and it
blazed around them.
“Hello, Claire.” Haley pulled on one of the pigtails she’d
pulled her hair up into. Her face was entirely free of makeup,
