A Matter of Trust: A Carlsbad Village Lesbian Romance - Page 77

“Maybe that can wait until tomorrow, Dad,” Chloë suggested.

“Huh?” Emile looked at his daughter. “Oh, yes, of course. Tomorrow.”

He then looked directly at Morgan, scrutinizing her quizzically.

“This is going to sound like a cheesy pick-up line,” he said, “but don’t I know you from somewhere?”

Why, yes! I used to sit in front of you and your wife and tell you what a delight it was having Chloë in my classroom…

“Dad, this is Miss Banks,” Chloë told him, and now Morgan wished an alien armada would come and wipe out Earth. “I had her for Fine Lit my senior year at Barrington Woods, remember?”

And now I have your daughter for Intro to Lesbianism 101.

“Oh, right!” Emile said, recognition dawning on his features. “I remember now! Chloë used to speak so highly of you.”

Morgan’s mouth was dry but she managed to say, “Thank you, that’s always gratifying for a teacher to hear.”

Chloë gave Emile a brief recap of her chance encounter with Morgan a couple of weeks ago.

“Well, it’s wonderful seeing you again,” Emile said afterwards, and from how he said it and the way his smile reached his eyes, Morgan knew the man was being genuine with his sentiments. Nevertheless, she wished she could somehow freeze this moment and spend a proper amount of time examining his features for any signs that he was troubled by the fact that his daughter’s former teacher was now his daughter’s overnight guest.

“Great seeing you too,” she told him.

After he had gathered up his tools, Emile left with a cheery “good night.” As soon as the door closed, Morgan wanted to collapse with equal parts embarrassment and relief, but Chloë had her in her arms again.

“God, you look hot!” Chloë said, and instantly kissed Morgan with the kind of fervor that normally made Morgan’s panties wet but which now was having minimal effect.

“I need a drink,” she said, breaking the kiss. “A nice strong one, please.”

“Dude, what is wrong?” Chloë asked again. She led Morgan over to the sofa and they both sat down. Well, Morgan sat down, Chloë straddled her and began playing her hand along Morgan’s collarbone.

“You’re going to think I’m silly.”

“Probably, but tell me anyway.”

“Encountering your father unexpectedly like that…It threw me.”

Chloë giggled.

“Why?”

“I don’t know! It was just so…unexpected! And I used to be your teacher!” Morgan covered her face with her hands. “Oh my God, what if he’s thinking I was lusting after you while you were my student?”

Chloë laughed and pulled Morgan’s hands away from her face.

“Dude, my Dad doesn’t think like that, okay? I promise. Tell you what, how about I call him back here and tell him that it was me lusting after you back in high school?”

Morgan’s eyes widened in fear.

“Don’t you dare! I will so kill you!”

“Well, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that I think he’d rather you fuck me than kill me.”

“Chloë!” Morgan exclaimed in exasperation. “You are not helping! Get me a drink!”

Chloë gave a little salute as she hopped off Morgan’s lap with another giggle.

“Yes, Miss Banks.”
