Morgan rolled her eyes. Chloë just loved pointing out that extra month. She had just celebrated her thirty-seventh birthday in April, exactly one month before Chloë’s twenty-fifth birthday.

“She’s right,” Morgan told Amy with a bemused smile on her face. “Twelve years and one month.”

“So, what I wonder is,” Amy began, “you two are at different points in your lives, right? You, Morgan, have already established yourself in your career, for example; you also probably think a bit more about the future…does that affect your relationship in any way?”

That was a good and insightful question, Morgan considered.

“No, I don’t think it does,” she answered. “I got lucky. Chloë is a very mature twenty-five-year-old. She has her head screwed on right and she’s not all about going out to party and wasting away her twenties. In other words, I don’t ever feel like I’m dating a child.”

“A

ww, thank you!” Chloë gushed, giving Morgan a quick peck on the cheek.

“You two are just too cute together!” Amy exclaimed. “Okay, next question! For Chloë. Obviously, Morgan is very beautiful and so no wonder you wanted to be with her, but what are the advantages of dating someone more than a decade older?”

Morgan knew Amy meant well, but she couldn’t decide which was worse: hearing twelve years and one month or more than a decade older. Either one didn’t sound good. Regardless, she was really interested in how Chloë would answer this question.

“Well, being with an older woman means that I get a lot of insight and perspective from someone who’s maybe already gone through things I’m going through, which is nice. Also, she helps ground me, you know? Like, if I’m getting flustered or upset by something, she’s able to point out that, hey, things aren’t so bad and it’s not the end of the world. But the best part is, that I feel safe.”

Morgan looked at Chloë.

Safe?

“What do you mean?” Amy asked.

“Like, I know no one is perfect,” Chloë began, “but because Morgan is thirty-seven, I feel like I don’t have to deal with a lot of the stupid BS that younger woman play at, you know? Like, she’s too old—” She looked at Morgan quickly and said, “Sorry, babe, for how that sounded,” before looking back at the webcam and Amy. “Anyway, she’s too old to play games and mess around. I feel like my heart is safe with her because she’s spent a long time looking for happiness and now that she found it, she will do whatever it takes to keep it. Except watch Frozen.”

Morgan burst out laughing.

“Oh, good lord!”

“You’ve never seen Frozen?” Amy asked.

“That’s right. Never have.”

“Wait, how is that even possible?” Amy pressed. “It’s got Elsa.”

Gesticulating, Chloë said, “I know, right! It’s like she’s from another planet!

The interview ended about thirty minutes later and Morgan had had fun doing it.

“You just had to mention Frozen didn’t you?” she said, turning and capturing Chloë in her arms.

“Dude, the world needs to know what a weirdo you are,” Chloë said.

“You are just upset that you lost our bet that night,” Morgan teased, running her fingers along the fine hairs at the nape of Chloë’s neck with one hand while her other hand stole up Chloë’s side to find her breast. Morgan’s clit pulsed remembering the night of that bet, even though it had been three months ago. The things her and Chloë had done to one another in the race to four orgasms! But when it was tied three all and they were sixty-nining with Chloë on top, Morgan had blindly started feeling the mattress beside her while she was sucking on Chloë’s clit. Moments earlier, she had noticed that Chloë had carelessly left a vibrator within reach and when Morgan’s hand found it, she had quickly switched it on and slid into Chloë’s already gushing opening and it was game over. Morgan remained a Frozen virgin.

Now, Chloë hummed in pleasure as Morgan started swiping her thumb over her nipple.

“No fair, Miss Banks,” Chloë whispered. “You know I have to leave soon.”

Morgan did indeed know that. Chloë had to go meet Vanessa at Deja Brew. The grand opening was two weeks away and Chloë and Vanessa were still working hard to get the new location customer-ready.

Morgan couldn’t be prouder of her girlfriend. Chloë had taken on her role as part-owner of the business with a focus and maturity that some people Morgan’s age didn’t possess. At one point during the start-up process, Vanessa had even confided in Morgan that she wished she had Chloë on as a partner back when she opened La Vida Mocha; things would have gone much smoother.

“Just let me have a taste,” Morgan pleaded, already pushing Chloë backwards on the sofa. “I’ll make sure you still leave in time, I promise…”
