Nothing but a Fling: A Carlsbad Village Lesbian Romance - Page 106

“Definitely,” Megan answered Sienna, kicking off her flip-flops and stepping into the water. She had decided to not immediately close herself off to Sienna, who had made no attempt earlier to hide her desire for Vanessa. After all, Vanessa was an eminently desirable woman. Looking at Vanessa was fine, but Sienna was on probation and Megan would be watching her closely.

In the pool, Megan contented herself with just leaning back with her arms resting on the deck and letting her legs float out in front of her. The day was perfect, cloudless and not too warm. From her vantage point, Megan could look out beyond the deck at the beach and the ocean. The pandemic wasn’t keeping people away from coming out to the sand and surf; the governor would have had to occupy the beaches with the National Guard to keep that from happening. Still though, Megan noted that people were putting more distance than usual between their beach blankets and their neighbors’, and those who were walking along the shore were trying their best to make sure they didn’t pass too closely to anybody else.

Eventually, Sienna floated over and did the same reclining thing Megan was doing.

“So, how long have you and Chloë been together?” Megan asked.

“We’re not together together,” Sienna began. “We have this friends-with-benefits thing going on and since we both happen to be between girlfriends right now…” She trailed off.

“Gotcha,” Megan said. “But Chloë seems pretty nice?”

“She’s fucking amazing,” Sienna stated. “But we’re not each other’s type, you know? Not for a relationship, anyway. Besides, Chloë actually has a thing for older women.”

Megan turned to face Sienna.

“Really?” she asked.

“Yeah, why does that surprise you? Vanessa is older than you, isn’t she?”

“Well, yeah, but that’s not why I’m…with her,” Megan said, catching herself just in time from saying “dating her.” They weren’t dating, after all. They were…Well, Megan actually didn’t know what they were anymore but it was too complicated to explain to Sienna.

“I would have…gotten involved with Vanessa even if she was ten years younger than me,” Megan declared. “Okay, maybe not ten years younger, because that would be illegal, but you get my point.”

Sienna laughed.

A thought suddenly occurred to Megan. Did Chloë have a thing for Vanessa? She made a mental note to bring that up to Vanessa one day. No, change that. She made a mental note to bring that up to Vanessa tonight.

“What about you and Vanessa?” Sienna asked.

“What about us?” Megan responded, hoping it didn’t sound as defensive as she felt.

“Uh…How long have you been together?”

“Oh. Almost three weeks,” Megan answered.

A perfect three weeks.

“Wow! Brand-new!”

Megan smiled.

“Yeah, it’s been amazing,” she told Sienna.

“So, how did you two—” Sienna stopped as a new sound became apparent on top of all the noises from the beach and the ocean. Megan had picked it up too. She frowned as she tried to first determine where it was coming from and then what it was. It seemed like it was coming from somewhere in the house…?

Both women realized what it was at the same time. They stared at each other for a moment and then burst into giggles.

“Told you they weren’t taking a nap,” Sienna said between laughs, the sounds of Angela and Desiree having quite loud sex adding to the soundtrack of the ocean’s surf and beachgoers playing.

Megan took a glance over her shoulder at the house.

“God, no wonder we can hear them; their bedroom window is open. Oh my God!” she exclaimed as Desiree clearly called out Angela’s name after first taking Christ’s name in vain and then gave the kind of full-throated moan that could only come from a satisfying climax.

Megan blushed in sympathetic embarrassment.

Sienna mimed writing on the air.

“Note to self: close bedroom window before having sex tonight.”
