No More Wasted Time: A Carlsbad Village Lesbian Romance

“Of course not,” Becca answered.
Once the pic had been taken, the woman said to Krissy, “Your girlfriend is amazing!”
Krissy smiled.
“Isn’t she though?” she asked, snaking her arm around Becca’s waist and pulling Becca closer. “I just love her to pieces!”
With a wave, the girl left. Interestingly enough, Krissy kept her arm around Becca’s waist.
So Becca put her arm back around Krissy’s shoulders.
After a moment, Krissy said, “Hey! Should I be pissed that that girl thought I was your girlfriend and she still practically took her shirt off for you?”
Becca laughed.
“You probably should,” she said, deciding to tease her friend. “I mean, it was pretty blatant.”
Krissy scoffed.
“If she comes back in here, I’m kicking her ass,” she stated. “By the way,” she then went on, pulling herself closer to Becca. “I’m assuming you want to keep up the ruse, right? Otherwise, you’re going to have every single lesbian in here hitting on you.”
Becca groaned at that prospect, allowing her to ignore how stiff her nipples had gotten.
“That’s the last thing I need,” she said.
“Are you sure?” Krissy asked. “Because I could easily let you go—”
“Don’t you dare!” Becca interrupted. This time, it was her pulling Krissy closer. “I mean, okay, fine…I wouldn’t mind meeting a nice woman but, seriously, not that way.”
She sighed.
“God, what is taking so long?” she whispered, staring ahead at the customers still in front of them in line. In reality, the line wasn’t that long. There were only two other people ahead of them. The line just seemed longer because Vanessa still insisted on people remaining si
x feet apart while waiting. The floor still even had decals on it, indicating where customers should stand. “I should have just stayed home. I don’t want any of this attention!”
“Oh, enjoy it!” Krissy admonished. “But you’re right; this line is taking forever.” She separated herself from Becca, reached into her purse and pulled out a twenty, which she handed over. “I need to go pee. If we ever do get to order, you know what I want. It’s on me. I’ve never bought coffee for a genuine hero before.”
“Actually, you have,” Becca pointed out, dryly. “I do heroic shit all the time, remember?”
Krissy rolled her eyes.
“But it never shows up on YouTube. Doesn’t count if it’s not on YouTube.”
Becca shook her head.
“You’re ridiculous!” she admonished.
“I may be ridiculous, but just remember, you’re the one who asked me to be your girlfriend,” Krissy shot back.
Becca instantly felt herself flush.
“Speaking of,” Krissy went on, “am I safe leaving you alone? You’re not going to run off with the next teenager who bats her eyes at you, leaving me brokenhearted?”
Becca glared at her.
“If you keep it up, I just might,” she warned as Krissy made her way towards the restrooms.
Left alone on the line now, Becca just hoped she would be…well, left alone. She neither needed nor wanted any other women fangirling over her. It really was ridiculous. She wished whoever it was who came up with that “fifteen minutes of fame” line had meant a literal fifteen minutes. All she wanted to do was get the coffee and get out of here without anyone else bugging her about last night’s heroics.
