“You’vereachedthevoicemail of Aristotle…”

“Dammit, Ari, where the hell are you?” I ended the call and clutched the phone in my fist, my body taut with pent-up emotions. I’d been calling Ari to wish him goodnight, as I had done for the past five days he’d been away, but tonight all I got was his voice mail. This wouldn’t freak me out so much if I didn’t know Ari this well. He would never dismiss my call. Unless something was wrong.

Or maybe he lost his phone.

Damn, since meeting Ari’s biological father, I was a mess. My mind was all over the place. Maybe I should have told Ari, but that wasn’t the kind of news I wanted to break over the phone, especially not after what the man hinted at before he left. His promise he would see me around town hadn’t sounded as if it would be a pleasant rendezvous.

He’d made it clear, without exactly stating it, that he was here because of Ari. What he planned to do with the boy was vague. Whatever it was, it seemed ominous.

I surveyed the mess in the kitchen. I should clean up. Ari always had the kitchen looking spick and span — the counters wiped clean, the dishwasher emptied, garbage taken out. But Ari never burned the pots either, nor had he ever had to throw out an entire meal because it was inedible.

Now that he was away, I’d realized how much he meant to me…how much he did for me. He never once complained about all the household tasks he’d done since he moved back in. I never had to ask for anything, and I never would have either, but he liked taking care of me. He’d taken it so far that he killed for me.

In a trancelike state, I cleaned up the kitchen as Ari would have done. I willed my phone to ring, but the only alert I received was a message from Jackson about me picking up the rest of my stuff I’d left at his place. I was still settling in, but when Ari got back, it would start feeling more than a house. Like home.

Goddammit, but I loved that boy.

I checked all the downstairs doors and windows to make sure they were locked. I couldn't be too careful. Even though I hadn’t seen Ken since he confronted me at Jackson’s house, I knew he was still in town, lurking…waiting for Ari to show up.

I climbed the stairs, the nervous energy flowing through me making me restless. If I’d been into exercise, I would have gone for a run or something, but I made for the shower instead. I put my phone on the sink just in case. I wouldn’t want to miss Ari’s call.

The shower helped a lot more than I’d thought it would. The water cascaded over my body, and as I ran the wet cloth over my stomach, I stared at the reflection in the glass. Maybe I should start exercising. I joked for years about losing weight, especially around my middle, but I never got around to do it. Now would be a good time to start before Ari stopped finding me attractive.

He was young and breathtakingly beautiful. He turned heads everywhere he went. His charm only endeared him more to people. Until he deliberately showed his vindictive side.

But he wasn’t a psychopath. He felt emotions, sometimes too intensely. His anger could be explosive and his hurt painful to witness. I had to believe the parts of him that were defiant and quick to kill could be healed.

When I was squeaky clean, I turned the shower off. Wiping the water from my face with the back of my hand, I muttered under my breath. I’d forgotten the damn towel. I pushed back the sliding doors open and stepped out of the shower. My heart leaped in my throat at the figure sitting on top of the vanity, his pants down, stroking his erect dick.

“Ari, what the hell? You scared me.”

He grinned at me. I placed a hand on my chest as if that would slow down the pounding.

“Hi, Daddy.” He swung his feet back and forth. “I missed you.”

Damn. He’d come home feeling horny. My dick throbbed. It’d been days since I saw Ari, and using my hand could never compare. My hand couldn’t move the way he did or make that slapping sound of his ass connecting with my pelvis.

“Why didn’t you call me?” I moved closer to him, not caring I was still wet. “I told you I would pick you up from the airport, and how did you get in here without making a sound?”

“You know how.” He picked up a small bottle from the counter beside him. He wiggled out of his jeans but didn’t kick them off. Instead, he turned on his side, giving me a perfect view of his ass. Ari shoved away the tiny swatch of fabric from his thong, coated his fingers with the lube, and massaged it into his hole. “We really missed you, Daddy.” The way he fingered his ass, there was no mistaking what he meant by we.

My cock throbbed painfully between my legs. With a groan, I placed a hand on his cheek and brought his lips to mine. He opened his mouth and greedily sucked on my tongue like he’d been starving without me. I gripped his hips and jerked him closer to the edge, and with my other hand, I guided my cock to his hole. I thrust inside him as far as I could go.

“Oh fuck.” He tore his lips away from mine and gripped the edge of the vanity. “Yes, Daddy. I missed that cock ruining me.”

I was at a loss for words. I could only grunt as I clasped his hips even harder and thrust. My cock glided in and out of his tight heat, his plump tattooed ass cheeks so tempting I couldn’t resist smacking it. His breath hitched in his throat, and his gaze snagged mine, pupils dilated.

“Fuck me,” he gasped. “Harder, Daddy. Please.”

I couldn’t fuck him the way we both wanted with his jeans in the way. I pulled out of him and dragged his jeans and underwear down his legs.

“Please put it back in, Daddy.”

“Hush, boy. You rush me, and I might not make you come.”

He whimpered but didn’t say anything. As soon as his legs were free, he spread them for me, pushing himself all the way down to the edge of the vanity without me having to tell him.
