The song changed to Guy ‘Just Chill’ and my stomach started to churn in excitement as I wrapped myself in his arms. His forehead against mine as our bodies swayed back and forth. My breathing became faster labored inhales and exhales of erotic serotonin. I sucked in a quick inhale feeling the shiver that coursed down his entire body. His hands ventured from my hips to cupping my neck with both hands. In a weak, tremulous whisper, I moaned his name.
With a thumb on each side of my neck, he went in for the kill. A suffocating sensation tightened in my throat, and the only way to release it was through his lips. He was the cure for all of my ailments. The animalist groan he released caused me to ravish his lips with desperation. This man was on a mission to suck out the remaining remnants of my soul. There was this silent message passing between our lips. I was his and he was mine. At this moment, with our tongues playing an old game of tug-of-war, we belong to each other.
He was mine and I was his.
Mine.
My hands adventured under his shirt rubbing up and down every peak, valley, and cliff of abs he had. The more my hands got reacquainted with his body the tighter he squeezed my neck. Sloppy kisses turned us both into uninhabited wild animals of nature. Sloppier the kiss, the more our hands roamed.
“Jacolby.” He breathed against my lips.
“Yes?”
“Look at me.” I opened the windows to heart and soul for his viewing pleasure. “I love you,” he confessed. “I want you. Be mine, baby. Say you’ll be mine.”
Yes, I’ll marry you.
It was finally happening. The moment I’ve been waiting for.
Tears blinding me stupid, I nodded giggling. “I love you more than you’ll ever know. Yes, I’ll be yours.”
“Hmm,” He growled cuffing my thighs and lifting me until my legs anchored around his waist. “You didn’t have a choice.” His lips smashed into mine and right there we sealed the start of a brand new era.
The era of love and forgiveness.
The era of fighting through the chaos of life and getting to the other side of redemption.
