Casso meets my eye. He says nothing. I can tell he doesn’t want to get into this argument again and I don’t blame him. I’m relentless, especially about this, but I can’t stand the way he thinks about this family and what he plans on turning it into.
And yet he’s the Don. What he decides goes. I may be a capo, one of the most important capos in the entire organization, but I still have to obey my brother.
Even when I fucking hate him for it.
“Just show up,” Casso says and walks off. “I’ll tell Karah you’re busy.”
I watch him go and say nothing.
There are too many memories in that house. Too much blood in the carpets and on the walls.
Karah knows why I never visit.
I can’t stand thinking about Sonia, and I still can’t stop thinking about her.
