“You get with Zach,” Seth told Jericho. “I should talk to River.”

It was the truth…but it was also a damn good excuse to avoid Beck’s younger brother. Seth wasn’t proud of his reaction, but he needed to work through this. Pretending that Zach’s loss didn’t affect him wasn’t possible.

“Sure. If anything changes with the case or I have more news, tell Beck I’ll let him know.”

“Will do. Appreciate it, man.” Then Seth turned to Heavenly. “I’ll be right back.”

As the agent headed toward Zach and the twins, he stood and made his way to River and Dean’s table.

“Hey, boss.” River gestured to an open chair. “What’s up?”

Seth settled beside River. “Not much. What are you two dirtbags up to?”

“Celebrating. A month ago, we were in Big Bear and I thought Dean was dead. But we just bought a house together. Paperwork and funding were final today.”

As they clinked beer bottles, Dean nodded in excitement. “We move in June eighth. Soon, we’ll have roots down and we’ll be ready for the future.”

When they found the right woman? That certainly sounded like the plan to Seth.

“And we were having a good fucking time talking about our new place—it’s in Santa Monica, just a few blocks from the beach—until fucking Pike showed up.”

Seth shot River a pointed stare. “You have to stop letting him get the best of you.”

“Ugh. He’s such a cockbag.”

Dean nodded. “He is, but you let him push your buttons.”

“I don’t let him; he just does. He knows I have no idea how the fuck to find Jasmine. Hell, it took me weeks to even learn her goddamn name. And that motherfucker rubs my nose in the fact he sees her every chance he gets.”

“Because you plucked her cherry, brother, and that eats him up,” Dean pointed out.

“Yeah,” River grumbled. “But I want more. And I want answers.”

“Now that you have a first name, can’t you look for her? You’re a PI,” Seth pointed out.

“You think I haven’t been looking? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve hacked into the DMV data—” River snapped his mouth shut, guilt lining his face. He cringed Dean’s way. “You did not hear that.”

“Hear what?”

River exhaled. “Do you have any idea how many redheads named Jasmine there are in LA? That’s all I can search for since I don’t know her age or her last known address. If I could search by bra size and O face, I’d find her real fast.”

“You sure she’s old enough to have a driver’s license?” Seth teased.

“Bite me,” River groused. “She was young, but she was definitely over eighteen.”

“You sure?” Dean prodded. “After all, she was a virgin…”

“I know, but underage girls don’t have curves like that. They don’t have that silky, tight, fucking incredible—”

“Shut up,” Dean demanded. “I still can’t believe you didn’t call me to help you deflower her, asshole.”

“You were on duty. Besides, it all happened so fast. The adrenaline was pumping. My heart was pounding. I lost my damn mind when I started kissing her. Oh, fuck, her mouth. It was so red and plush and perfect. That mouth should be illegal in every state, every country. Shit, in every universe.” River glanced down at his jeans. “Fuck. I’m hard just thinking about her.”

“It’s been too long since you got laid,” Dean chided.

“I know. But if you’d been there, if you’d had your dick inside that sweet pussy, she would have ruined you, too. She was so hot, so wet, so goddamn tight, I wanted to cry. And her tits? Christ, I’ve never felt anything like them. She’s a tiny thing, but they were warm and heavy. They fit my hands like they’d been made for me. And her nipples?” He groaned. “I couldn’t get enough. I spent hours sucking, biting, and tugging on them. They just keep growing longer and harder and—”

“Stop,” Dean growled. “Now you’re just rubbing it in.”
