Mafia Monster's Forced Bride

Roman put his foot on the gas, and the car squeaked. She held on for dear life, but the noise was deafening, and she felt like she was going to be sick.
The car wasn’t turning. She just knew they were going to crash.
Roman didn’t veer. He didn’t change direction as he stayed completely focused on the car in front of him, and panic filled her. They were going to die, and if he killed the people in the front seat of the car, they were as good as dead.
She called his name, but Roman wasn’t listening to her.
They were going to die.

Roman stared at the two men who were chained to chairs in the basement of one of Liam’s strip clubs. Cops were upstairs, and it amused Roman that Liam conducted illegal business right under their noses, but he guessed that was the best way of finding the men who would do anything for money or sex.
Liam’s man hadn’t turned up yet, but he had a feeling that when he did, it wasn’t going to go well. No doubt, he’d already talked to Bill, and had probably talked to Alex, who was upstairs in one of the private rooms.
Roman didn’t like bringing her to a strip club. There was too much sex. He didn’t want to bring her, but taking her home or leaving her anywhere else right now didn’t seem logical.
She had been panicked, but what had surprised him while he’d waited for his men to arrive was that she’d secured the two men who currently sat bleeding now. Without screaming at him and without fainting.
Yes, she had thrown up, but she told him she didn’t realize they were going to be trying to save their lives after she had eaten lunch. She seemed a little pissed off, but it was her suggestion to bring them here.
Was this where she lost her virginity?
Roman didn’t believe for a second that she was a virgin. If she wasn’t one, why did she oppose the test his father asked for?
The door to the basement opened, and then Liam advanced on him, fists raised. Roman shook him off, ready to step toe to toe with him.
“How dare you drag my daughter off campus!” Bill was right behind him, sporting a black eye.
Roman wondered if the guy had a nice nap, but he kept his thoughts to himself. Now was not the time to start a fight.
“It’s a good thing I did, and look what I’ve got. These men were waiting for her.” He’d been at the campus because the scientist he’d been after had one job to complete to be able to have the money and security he craved, and that was to build a drug.
Roman wasn’t quite sure what kind of drug it was, or if it was even a drug, but either way, the only place he knew where to find a guy like the one he was after was a campus. It was sheer fucking luck that he saw these guys and put two and two together with his wife.
She should have been fucking home, where she was safe.
“Bill was there to protect her.”
“Yeah? And did your precious bodyguard even notice the blacked-out car waiting for her, watching her? It fucking stuck out like a sore thumb, but he was busy watching her like some pervert.”
Bill stepped forward. “I would never look at her in such a way. She is like a daughter to me.”
“A daughter you’re going to get killed.”
“Enough!” Liam yelled, and Roman gritted his teeth.
In all his life, he had never had to step down from a fight or have so much control when it came to a man who pissed him off. His father had told him to respect Liam, to work with him, and above all else, to never make waves. This wasn’t how Roman worked.
The Greco name was everything to him. Working with Liam, having Alex as his wife, it was all pushing him a little too far. He wasn’t used to not striking out.
“Where is Alex?” Liam asked.
Taking a deep breath, Roman turned toward Liam. “She is upstairs. She is the one who suggested I bring them here.”
Liam nodded. “Good. She knows this is the best place to get answers.”
“With cops partying upstairs?”
