CHAPTER32

Arsen

Iwoke before the others the next morning. Rolling out of bed, I paused and smiled down at Colby. She’d done so well last night and had enjoyed herself. She just didn’t realize what her sexiness did to us, the desires it awoke inside us. I knew from here on out it was going to be hard to keep our hands off her.

The sun was shining in the window and showed the faintest hint of red hidden within her dark hair. I wanted to bundle her up and take her with me downstairs, but she needed her rest. Yesterday had been a stressful day. We’d all fallen asleep early and slept straight through the night.

I made my way down to the kitchen, readying everything to make breakfast for us all. When we were out in the desert, Rafe cooked. I didn’t like cooking over a fire. But a stove? That I didn’t mind as much.

The meal was almost ready when the last stair on the steps squeaked. Looking over my shoulder, I smiled at Colby as she hesitantly stepped into the kitchen. She was wearing my t-shirt and it came down nearly to her knees. Her hair was a mess and she had this glow to her skin. All in all, she looked like she’d been well fucked. I couldn’t wait to do it again.

“Morning,” I rumbled to her.

“Morning,” she said with a shy smile as she came over to get some coffee.

“Hungry?”

She gave a hum of agreement, and sat at the table nearby to watch me. I’d already set the table, so all I needed to do was scoop all the food onto platters and then call the others down.

I turned to set two on the table, and worry coursed down my spine. I realized Colby was sitting at the table, mug halfway to her lips, frozen and pale. I all but tossed the platters down and gripped her shoulders.

Her eyes were hazed and she slowly met my gaze. I shook her a little. “Colby? Baby, what’s wrong?”

“You came in me.” She spoke so softly I almost didn’t hear her. I was on the verge of asking her to repeat herself when it dawned on me what she’d said.

“I did,” I said, sitting next to her then dragging her into my lap. I brushed a thick lock of hair away from her eyes. “Is that a problem?”

“I- My birth control…”

“Colby, if you’re not ready for this, we can get something for you. Rafe can get damn near anything,” I told her. “Though, we’re all in agreement. We want children with you.”

She looked stunned, like a bird that flew into a window. “You do?”

“Yeah.”

“But if we do things…together, you won’t know who the father is.”

I shrugged my shoulders. “We all would be. That doesn’t matter to us. Besides, with the amount of babies we plan to put in you…won’t really matter.”

She made a choked sound as her eyes widened. Clearing her throat, she tried again. “I don’t know if I can be pregnant out here. Have babies and little kids living out in this desert. Being with you three, this life, it's one thing when it's just us. But kids change things.”

I didn’t blame her. It was a relief that she wasn’t saying she didn’t want children. She just didn’t want to have them in the primitive situation we were in. She’d get used to the idea of our children having three fathers. It was an adjustment, but she could do it.

I had a feeling Rafe was already working on the primitive living conditions. Having Colby with us had changed everything. And each of us would agree, it was for the better. “You don’t have to decide anything right now, Little Warrior. Eat.” I nudged one of the platters, then picked her up and set her back on her seat.

Going to the stairs, I bellowed at the others. “Breakfast is ready!”

I sat back down near her and watched as she absently scooped food onto her plate. She was still deep in thought when the other two came down.

We exchanged greetings, but Colby was on autopilot. Rafe frowned at me and jerked his chin at her, silently asking me what was wrong.

I shook my head and mouthed, ‘Later.’

After a few minutes Colby seemed to snap out of her thoughts and joined our conversation.

“I have a plan.”

We all looked over at Rafe. He had a devious look on his face. It made me grin. Knowing we were going to be serving Roj up a huge heaping dish of karma put me in a good mood.
