Forever Mine

“I can arrange a get-together.” I smile.What the fuck was that?
She turns towards me, thrusting her knockers over the armrest. “We should totally do that. I’m free after the show if you want to grab some food with the girls?”
My eyes wander back to her girls, making my mouth water. “I could eat with the girls. Sure.” My voice is a little high.
Fuck no. I force my eyes back to hers and notice they’re sparkling green under the bright lights of the theatre, reminding me of my Steph. Maybe a date with this woman will help me move on. My dick’s certainly up for it.
Shuffling in my seat, I adjust my jeans again and glance at my watch, hoping the lights will go dim soon so I won’t keep getting distracted.Or so you can look at her tits with no one noticing.
More people enter and fill the row behind me. A couple take the seats next to Danni. “We’re not late, are we?”
“Hi Dad. You’re fine. They haven’t started yet.”
I glance at the man next to her. Then do a double take. The air is sucked from my lungs and a chill courses through my veins. “Dad?”
Danni turns to me. “Yeah, this is my Dad, Bill. Dad, this is Cal.”
The colour drains from my dad’s face. He’s frozen apart from his rapid blinking. My pulse quickens, throbbing in my neck, and my entire body vibrates. I don’t know whether to punch him in the face or shake his hand.
Danni looks between the two of us, staring each other out over the top of her heaving chest. “Do you two know each other?”
I can’t speak. I thought about this moment for so long and all the things I want to say to this man, but I can’t seem to form any words.
He breaks the deafening silence with a croak in his voice. “Son.”
The word travels through the thick air prickling my skin. Every muscle in my body burns. How dare he call me son? He lost that right when he left me. I crack my neck along with my knuckles.
“Son, what are you doing here?” His deep brown eyes droop, and he runs a hand through his grey hair that was once jet black.
“I—”
“Wait.” Danni leans forward, looking between the two of us. “This is your Dad?” She turns to Dad. “Dad, this is Callum, your son Callum?”
He nods.
She looks back at me. “Does this mean you’re my…” Her face screws, and she shivers. “Ew.”
Acid rises in my throat, and I swallow hard before puking all over my sister’s tits. “Please tell me we’re not blood related.”
I wipe the sweat from my forehead. To think I was getting hard at the prospect of a tit-job. The popcorn regurgitates in my mouth, and I force it back down.
“Danni is my stepdaughter. Callum, it’s so good to see you. This is my wife, Helen.”
I relax my shoulders.
Helen reaches across Bill and Danni and takes hold of my hand. “It’s so nice to finally meet you. Bill’s told us all about you.”
I remove my hand from under hers and pinch my eyebrows together. “He doesn’t even know me.”
Dad’s sad eyes shine under the theatre lights. “I’m sorry, son. I’d like to change that. If you’ll let me.”
The lights dim and the opening music plays out through the auditorium. “Maybe you can start by watching your granddaughter.” I whisper-yell the words and accidentally throw spittle over Danni’s chest. “Sorry.”
She wipes her face and breasts, then pulls the show programme from her bag.
“You have a daughter?” Dad chokes up, dabbing his eyes.
“I have two, but you’d know that if you bothered to keep in touch.” I lean back in my chair and fold my arms.
