Miranda looks down at her feet sheepishly.
Are they fucking serious?
Why didn’t she break up with me?
Why did she keep up this fucking charade for all these years?
What the hell did she think was going to happen when we got married?
Would George have stood up when the priest asked,‘If anyone objects …’and taken her away from me at that moment out of some sort of spite?
I can’t listen to these two any longer. Miranda’s as bad as my brother—she could have said no so many times, but she didn’t. She kept fucking him, knowing just how much this would devastate me.
“Get out! Get the fuck out of my house! Now,” I holler. “I hate you both. Go to hell,” I continue to yell as Daniel holds me back, and Alex and Jasper show them the door.
Miranda rushes out in tears, but George lingers on the doorstep.
“Miranda is mine now. She’s carrying my baby. You ever need to speak to her, you go through me. You hear me?” George points at me. “She lives with me now. We’re going to be a family. My ring will be on her finger soon. Get used to it, Ali,” George states as he walks out of my home with the woman I loved.
“That is some seriously fucked-up shit, Ali,” Alex declares as he slams the door behind my brother.
“I need a drink,” Jasper relays while shaking his head.
“You didn’t deserve that. You don’t deserve any of it,” Daniel says quietly behind me.
“Fuck them! Let’s get drunk,” I declare.
