Paradise Found - Page 60

“Is there anything I can do for you now?”Yes. So many things.“You must be hungry after your long journey. Would you like me to organize something for you to eat?”

Eat.

Food.

Yes, that sounds great.

“Can I order a burger and a beer to start, please?”

“Of course, sir.” She pulls out her phone and types into it. “Would there be anything else?” I stare at her for a couple of moments, but my mind has become blank. “You appear a little tense, Mr. King,” Sierra adds.

Can she see the tension that’s running over my skin?

“I am,” I say, agreeing with her.

“Would you like me to organize a masseuse for you?” Those bright blue eyes stare at me expectantly.

“Yes.”

“Great.” Sierra smiles warmly, acknowledging my request with a single head nod. “Would you like a happy ending with that, sir?”

“Yes, please.”

Sierra smiles again at my answer. “Is there anything else I can get you, Mr. King?”

“No thanks.”

“Your lunch will be out in about fifteen, and I will be back in about forty-five.” Sierra gives me a courteous nod and disappears out of my villa, and as soon as the front door clicks shut, I throw myself onto the living room couch and try to let the tension curling in my shoulders subside. My head falls back against the linen cushion, and the tropical breeze blows across me. The smell of rain, coconuts, and the ocean swirl around my nose. I need this break so much. Because in three weeks my brother is marrying my ex-fiancée.

Fuck my life!
