“Babe, I didn’t know what you might like, so I ordered everything,” he says, looking up from his phone while sipping his coffee. The breakfast table is filled with fresh fruit and pastries.
“You let me sleep in,” I tell him as I walk outside and kiss him on his forehead before I take a seat beside him.
“You seemed exhausted,” he replies before sipping his coffee slowly.
“I had the best night’s sleep, thank you. I think you wore me out.” I smile as I take a blueberry and pop it in my mouth.
“Need you to get your strength back for today,” he says, giving me a wink.
“What do you have planned?” I ask, genuinely excited that we get to spend the day together.
“Other than you, not much. Thought I’d wait till you woke and plan out what we could do together.” He gives me a wide smile.
Aw, that’s so sweet.
“Is there something you want to do on the island but haven’t yet?” he asks.
I plate up some fruit and grab a flaky chocolate croissant as I mull over his question. “I’ve always wanted to go on a boat and sail around the island. I’ve only ever seen the island from on land.”
Alistair’s eyes widen with delight. “That’s perfect. Why didn’t I think of that? Okay, let me organize it. We can disappear from the island and stay in our bubble for a little longer. Leave it with me.” He stands quickly and places a kiss on my forehead before rushing inside and grabbing the tablet.
