Okay, if these guys were like Jesse, I could see myself surviving this. I looked over at Hunter, catching his eye. He sat among the guys as they continued their conversation, but he was staring right at me in that familiar way. No smile. No cheeky expression. Just solemn, needy,intent. His breaths were slow, his eyes bright and focused on me. I felt my blood warm, remembering Kurt’s words.
That boy looks at you like he's fixated on your every breath.
Maybe so after all. Except now that look was more heated than it had ever been. He ran his tongue along his bottom lip, his hand clenched the beer tighter as his eyes roamed about me like he needed to have me—like he might die without a taste.
Hunter’s walls were officially down.
