Unbroken 2

Leo smiled, putting on that fucking front because he was so fucking good at it. She would never know he had never truly let his guard down. He just mastered the art of being a fucking gentleman.
“Nothing, sweetness,” he said, taking the cone from her hand. He kissed her after she licked at her cone. He tasted the chocolate on her tongue, tasted her beneath it, and that fierce possessiveness kicked in as he thought for a single second what it might be like to have to let her go. It was unfathomable. He wouldn’t allow it.
“Wow,” she grinned after he pulled away, her eyes bright. “Gotta be careful kissing a girl like that, Leo.”
He smirked at her, prepared to tell her he was willing to face the repercussions when a voice rang out behind her. “I’ve been scratching my balls for a good ten minutes, Skye! When the fuck are you going to rescue me?”
Skye’s eyes widened, and her face broke into the giddiest expression as she spun around and screamed at the blond biker. She raced to him, pushing at his shoulder, admonishing him. “You cheeky asshole! Where’d you come from?”
Leo’s heart lurched as he scanned the grounds, suddenly catching sight of more black leather.
The Warlords had come out to play.
“What do you want to do?” Shane asked, sourly.
Leo’s smile spread, cold and empty. “Fucking nothing, Shane.”
He wasn’t surprised.
In fact, part of him expected this.
It was either a flex, telling him they were still around, still watching, and that he couldn’t do a single fucking thing about it.
Or…they couldn’t pass up a chance to party. Because these rats loved to rile the nest.
Leo didn’t interrupt Skye’s conversation with the blond biker as his eyes roamed the crowd that was already growing louder. The Warlords were causing a scene. Happy screams mixed with laughter, and the music changed from fun to fast paced. Motorcycles revved in the distance, approaching the grounds. More were coming.
And now Leo was spinning around, still searching, feeling a pang in his chest because, while he was pissed about it, he was also yearning to see his brother.
If the Warlords were here, it meant Hunter was close-by.
