EPILOGUE
Zander
One year later …
Ella leans over the bed, beautiful and very pregnant. This is just about the only way we can have sex now that she’s in her third trimester. Her hands on pillows, me behind her.
Naked with her thick dark hair thrown over her shoulder, she peeks back behind me and lets out the sweetest, sexiest moan I’ve ever heard.
I sink into her again and again, slowly. It’s past the point where we can have the rough, intense sex we used to have. She craves something different now. She still loves it when I pay extra attention to her clit, though. It’s apparently more sensitive now.
But she’s still mine in every way, so I put my hand around her throat just for the pressure and slow the pace even more. Her lips form a perfect O.
She feels like fucking heaven like this. Everything about her makes me crave more and more of her.
I want to feel her come around me, and she’s hot and tight, even more so in her pregnancy. She pants as she gets close, then comes, throwing her head back in pure delight. It’s a slow orgasm that seems to go on and on and on. The way her warmth strokes my cock nearly brings me to the edge with her. I linger in her new slickness.
I will never have enough of her.
I let my hands roam down her curves and I lose control, just a little, and pump into her harder. Ella braces against the bed and takes it. Her fingers curl over the covers, gripping them as she lets out a strangled groan. That sound is what does it for me, and I lose myself in her. She’s so good for me. She always is.
Afterward, she turns just enough to kiss me. A quick peck before lying down and waiting for me to clean her up.
“Come,” I command her and she protests with the smallest sound of resistance, snuggling into the sheets. “I want to shower with you,” I bend down to tell her and nip her earlobe.
It only takes nudging her nose with mine for her to agree and the two of us make our way into the shower. It’s all tiled in an antique blue, with top-of-the-line furnishings. Ella picked out every piece from the art on the wall, to the extra-large linen closets.
Even the shower is oversized so we could do just this.
Our house is the same way. A new build, out by the beach and as I turn the faucet on, the salty breeze blows in through the open window. We’re not very close to the neighbors, which is how I like it. Ella too. We don’t have to worry about photographers out here. There isn’t a soul for a good half mile in any direction.
All I have to worry about is making sure she’s rubbed down to her satisfaction under the hot water.
I marvel at her new shape. It’s something else, seeing her grow so beautifully. Our baby will be born this year, almost two years after we first met. This last year has been nothing but calm, with me devoted to her and her devoted to me.
We’ll bring that child here, to our house. I’ll be able to take him or her on walks on warm mornings.
It’ll be peaceful.
That’s all I can ask for, really.
I take my time caring for her. Washing her body and kissing as I go. She does this little hum I love all the while. Her eyes close and I know she’s going to nap after this.
For me, I’ll be monitoring what my brother emailed yesterday. A new case that he wants my opinion on.
“All done, you can leave me now and sleep,” I say and tease her with a kiss on her shoulder.
“Mmm, you don’t want to nap with me?” she offers and almost any other day I would at least lie down with her. “Not today, little bird.”
Ella leans against me, warm and satisfied but with a pout that tells me she may push me, just to. That mouth of hers hasn’t changed. It appears she’s too tired for that. I help her out of the shower and she gathers a towel around her.
When we’ve finished with our shower and I’ve put the bathrobe over her shoulders, she tells me she wants to look over the nursery one more time today. I can only smirk and follow my wife to the room we’ve been in three times already today. It’s directly next to the suite.
“I can’t believe it’s done,” she remarks from the doorway.
“The baby’s going to love it,” I say.
“What about you?” she questions. “You’ll probably spend a fair amount time in here too. I did choose the perfect glider.”
