Rhuron's Bride (Crystal Glass Dragons 1)

The room was silent.
“Izzy.” I touched her arm, and she stood up.
“Rhuron is coming with me back to Ember Abyss,” she explained. “I’ll educate him on the area, on how to interact with women, and then he can bring that information back to you.”
“What if we don’t want to take stupid courses for this,” Lerin piped up. “We didn’t ask to have human mate.”
A couple of them murmured in agreement.
“If you try to just chase after these women like rabid animals, you’re risking your entire way of life. People out there talk abouteverythingnow. Social media makes sure that once someone knows something, that it’s public knowledge. If you go around pissing off women, someone will out the kingdom.”
The room went quiet, and I looked over each of their faces seeing fear and uncertainty. She was going to make an excellent queen. I knew there was a chance that someone else could fall pregnant first, that by some chance our children could lose the throne. It didn’t matter. I could see her ruling, being just and fair at my side.
I couldn’t wait.
“I want to go to town with you,” Tierner announced. “I can look around, get to know these people on my own so I won’t have to wait any longer to find my mate.”
I looked to Izzy, my newfound sexy advisor, before I made a decision.
She nodded, so I agreed.
“You can come with us. We leave in an hour and will return in the morning.”
