Brie wanted to pursue her life without fear so she could fully embrace the future ahead. She didn’t want to hide from it.
Anything less would not be true to who she was as a person and a submissive.
Brie smiled and nodded to the pilot, grateful for the lesson he’d unknowingly taught her.
On the drive home Brie remained silent, reliving the incredible balloon ride.
“How are you faring, babygirl?”
She laughed self-consciously. “Well, other than thinking the poor man had a gun and was going to kill me, I’m doing great.”
Brie then looked at Sir in concern. “Do you think he knew?”
Sir chuckled. “No. He was so nervous about giving you his gift that he seemed oblivious to everything else.”
“Thank goodness! He was nothing but kind to us.”
“It’s evident you had a big impact on his life.”
Brie reached over to pat his arm. “It was a team effort, Sir. Without you, I would never have realized the joys of BDSM.”
He smiled, keeping his eyes on the road.
Brie heard his phone notify him that he had a text. Sir pulled it out from his pocket and asked, “Do you mind checking it?”
“My pleasure, Sir.” Clicking his messages, Brie noticed he had a new message from Marquis Gray. Her jaw dropped when she read the text.
Sir glanced at her. “Anything wrong?”
Brie stared at him, unable to hide her shock. “It’s from Marquis Gray.”
Frowning, Sir asked, “What does it say, babygirl?”
Brie read his text out loud, her stomach twisting in fear for Marquis.
I believe I may be responsible for Greg Holloway’s death.
