I always loathe doing this, but love what it looks like when it’s done.

I was going to swing by the grocery store on my way to Kinsley’s house, but wanted to have her around me. Plus what other way to show the people that I’ve staked my claim on Kinsley than for them to see us out and about together.
Pulling in around the back parking lot, I see just how busy Topped Off is even on Sunday. This woman, she surprises me at every turn. At the age of twenty-three she’s accomplished a lot more than people double her age. I admire the hell out of her. I climb out of my SUV, slamming the door as I leave, and take her stairs to get to her.
While walking upstairs, I can hear the music she has playing in her place, it’s a soft soothing bluesy tone, her windows are open. Making my way to her door, I can hear Kinsley humming along to the music. I hate to knock and interrupt her, but I can’t stay away.
I knock on the door a few times, Kinsley must not be able to hear. I try the doorknob on a whim, praying like hell her door will be locked. My luck is out, her door opens, and as pissed off as I am with her for not locking her door, the sight of her dancing around in her place stops me in my tracks.
She’s in a loose shirt, a pair of jeans that are rolled up a couple of times, showing off her delicate ankles.
“Kinsley, beautiful,” I say out loud getting her attention.
“Oh, hey there,” she grabs the remote and turns it down. The smile on her face has me stalking towards her, my hands find her cheeks, holding them while I bend down and graze her lips.
When she lets out a soft sigh, my tongue comes out, licking at her top lip, tasting her flavor of mint with the undertone of coffee. Fuck, she tastes good. Kinsley melts under my ministrations, I take my time with her. My tongue finds hers, she’s shy at first, but I coax her to give me more, more of what I want, and more of what I need.
Kinsley moans into my mouth, with that, one hand moves to the small of her back, making it to where there’s nothing between us. My other hand is still holding her, just the way I want it.
With one last deep kiss, we break apart. If I had it my way, I would live off of her kisses alone.
“Hey,” she breathes, her lips lush and full from our kisses.
“Hey, not to be a dick, but Kinsley, baby. I need you to lock your door,” I state.
“I have the worst habit, I know it. My dad tells me constantly to lock my doors, but I still forget. I’ll try to be better, but uh, there’s no guarantees,” she explains.
“We’ll work on it. Together. You ready to go? I know we talked about me picking up food on the way here, but I figured we’d have enough time to go the grocery store together.”
“Sure, let me shut the windows, grab my bag, and we can go,” Kinsley goes around shutting the living room windows. “Can you shut the bedroom window for me?” she asks.
“No problem,” I walk down the short hall and step into her bedroom. It’s feminine and soft with vibrant colors.
What captures my attention the most is the bed, it has to be a king size bed and taking up the majority of the room.
“You need help?” I hear Kinsley say, it snaps me out of my reverie, “Nope, I got it,” I say closing her window.
That bed though, it already has me thinking of all the ways I’m going to make Kinsley mine.

Luke and I walked in the grocery store, Luke’s hand encompassed in mine, the grocery basket in his other hand. We decided on beef fajitas on the way to the store. It was a quick trip, it didn’t take us too long, but I did notice when his hand wasn’t in mine, he kept a hand on my lower back at all times.
Now our bellies are full, Luke is working on some work he has to prepare for tomorrow. I pull a book out that I’ve been reading lately, but every time I start a chapter my gaze lingers on Luke. He pulled out a pair of eyeglasses he uses while reading papers or working on his computer, and I have to say, I love this look on him.
He’s deep into his work, not really noticing me blatantly staring at him. A yawn takes over me, and that’s when Luke looks up from his work.
“You ready for bed?” he asks.
“No, just relaxing and taking in the view,” I admit.
