“No, it’s fine. You can keep them. I only wanted to make sure you had them so we can actually show Ellen something.” She chuckles.

I frown. Why would she even ask? Is this why she disturbed my awesome time with D for? For this?

“Here. I insist,” I say, shoving them into her hands. “I don’t want them anyway.”

“But they’re your notes …” she stammers.

“I already know what I want and what I’m going to say,” I say. “Just take them. Maybe you can fill in Ellen while I take care of this … monthly thing.”

“Okay, if you’re sure.” The chuckle she adds at the end gets on my nerves.

Or maybe it’s because I was this fucking close to coming … and she ruined it all.

She glances at her watch and then says, “Oh! Almost time. Gotta run. Grabbing some coffee on the way. Don’t be late!” She rushes out and slams the door shut behind her, leaving me in peace.

I lower my head until it hits the desk, planting my face against the wood, groaning out loud.

All I can think of is him and how I left our whole conversation hanging in thin air.

And that I’ll have to wait the entire day until I’m home again before I can finally release this pent-up need.

Great.

Chapter 3

Declan

I stare at the screen and the two words in front of me.

Chat ended.

What? Did she really just …

I sigh. I can’t believe she actually closed the goddamn chat.

Did she get off when she wasn’t supposed to? Or did something happen?

I make a fist. This wasn’t the deal. She was to do everything I told her. I never told her she was allowed to stop the chat when I wasn’t finished with her yet. And I definitely had more cum in store for her.

Fuck. Why does this make my blood boil so much?

Someone knocking on my door pulls me from my thoughts.

“Come in,” I growl, quickly chucking the dirty napkin in the trash as I zip up my pants and close the laptop.

“Sorry, someone said we were supposed to come here …”

It’s a long-legged girl in a short skirt. More appear behind her, peeking over her shoulders.

I almost forgot they were coming in today. Damn distracting chats …

“Yeah, this is the place,” I say to the girls, beckoning them when they give me the side-eye. “Don’t be shy. I don’t bite.”

The door opens wide and in step three girls, all of different heights and with different shades of hair and skin. But all equally beautiful, as requested.

“Over there,” I say, nodding at the middle of the room as I go to lock the door.

When I sit back down again, they stand in line and wait for instructions, as told beforehand. Good. They know the drill.

I narrow my eyes and say, “Turn.”

All the girls do what I ask, showing me their rear, which I inspect thoroughly.

“Turn,” I say again, and they turn to face me.

This repeats again and again until I’m satisfied and have seen enough, after which I hold my finger up in the air.

A wicked smile spreads on my lips. This is the part when things become … interesting.

“Strip.”

One of the girls blankly stares at me, her jaw dropping as my face remains rigid.

It’s not a joke even though she’s probably wishing it is.

“Well?” I say.

The other two girls begin taking off their clothes piece by piece, but not the girl on the left. “But …”

“Did you not read the instructions?” I inquire.

“Yes, but—”

“Then you know what’s expected of you,” I interrupt.

“But you’re not one of the clients, right?” she asks with a befuddled look on her face.

“I’m here to assess the value you can add to this company. It’s simple really,” I reply. I don’t ask for my personal pleasure. This is strictly business. “If I don’t like what I see, then you don’t get in.”

She swallows, and a few seconds pass before she finally decides to remove her clothes.

They all do, eventually.

All it takes is that little nudge.

They knew what they were in for when they came here looking for a job. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill girls. They were trained for years. Although some do retain their questioning attitudes, like the girl on the left, all of them eventually … agree.

Hotel O is a special kind of exclusive club. One that requires excellence and obedience.

Do what is asked of you. No ifs. No buts.

That’s what these girls are hired for.

And in exchange, they’ll be able to pay for whatever their hearts desire.

Kat

With my thighs clenched together, I make my way through the building as fast as possible. It’s not big, by any means; we’re not a huge magazine, but I still feel as though everyone’s watching me. Even though I try my hardest to avoid any eye contact whatsoever, I swear some of them are staring. Am I flushing? Probably. Does my walk look weird? Most likely.
