Caged (Savage Men 1)

“Why not let him fight for the girl? Have the men try to attack her. Should be fun,” one of the men suggests.
My gaze immediately goes toward Ella whose eyes widened the moment she heard those words. They intend to throw her to the wolves. Use her as bait.

Father smirks then whistles. “Boys, get the girl. Put her in the center. Let’s amp up the stakes.”
“No!” I growl, but it’s too late.
While five men hold me back, two others walk out of the ring and grab the chair, lifting her into the air. She’s trembling in place, her eyes watery as they carry her back into the ring while all I can do is watch.
“NO!” I growl again, but then I get punched in the face.
“Now, boys … fight fair … place her in the center,” Father says, clapping his hands. The grin on his face is devilish as he looks at his guests and then at me. “Let’s make this fun, shall we? We all want better fighters, so let’s make the next generation a powerful one. Here’s your true prize, gentlemen. The first to grab the girl wins the right to fuck her.”
No. Fuck no.
I immediately pull myself loose from their grasp, roaring as I punch my way through the men.
I will not let them put their hands on her.
I’d rather die than let that happen.
She’s my woman. My Ella. And I will do whatever it takes to protect her.

“Go!” The moment the bell rings, all the men pounce on me, and I close my eyes, ready for the downfall. I can’t handle the intense emotions pouring into my veins, making me want to lash out even though I can’t.
Who will grab me? The one with the facial scars? The one with the missing toes? Or the one with the missing eye? All of them are vicious monsters, and I don’t want their hands on me.
But I have no choice. The moment any one of them grabs me, I’m theirs.
Graham doesn’t make any random bets. He wants money, so he’ll give me away to the winner just so he can make a kid quicker. It’s cruel. Inhuman. But he doesn’t care about any of that.
All he wants is something he can sell, and a warrior …. That he can sell.
It doesn’t matter to him who made the kid or who lives or dies.
As long as he has his toys, no one can stop him.
But the longer I keep my eyes shut, the more I keep waiting for something to happen. For someone to touch me … to take me … use me.
But nothing does. Not a single finger touches my skin.
All I can feel is the wind rushing past me as the men fight over who gets the right to fuck me. And when I squint to see who it is, the only thing I see is Cage towering over me.
Protecting me.
From everything and everyone around him.
Like a beast, he plows through the fighters, warding them off. He growls and spits, slashes and scratches, throwing punches like a madman. One of them goes down with just one kick to the head while the others keep coming.
Cage doesn’t stop.
He’s fighting like an animal, raging over anyone who dares to come near my chair.
And I’m helplessly watching, wishing I could run. Wishing I could save him from this pain … from knowing I’m about to be taken away from him. His most prized possession … given away to a random winner who gets to fuck me.
But he won’t allow it.
No matter how many times they try to approach me, he keeps fending them off. One of them comes so close I turn my head to prevent him from grasping a strand of my hair. Cage head butts him and kicks him in the nuts, causing him to buck and heave.
He punches another one in the face, and then another one in the gut, keeping up his fighter spirit. I don’t know how he does it. His veins are bulging, sweat drops rolling down his body, blood everywhere, but he doesn’t give up.
I can tell his body is drained, yet he refuses to step down. Even though it could mean his end if he keeps going like this.
I can’t imagine anyone fighting this many enemies at the same time and surviving.
Especially with a wound like his.
It must hurt so much, and still, he doesn’t give up.
Another one approaches. Cage’s nostrils flare, and he delivers an uppercut to the guy with seemingly superhuman strength. All I can do is watch in awe at the raw power he exudes.
It’s as if me being here, offered up as a prize, has only emboldened him … given him the fury he needs to overcome his opponents.
