“Not usually, no. I saw my grandfather yesterday. He told me the time was coming. I’d meet the woman who I would marry soon. It was my grandmother’s ring. She wanted me to have when she passed. I thanked him, though I thought he was crazy. I tucked the ring in my suitcase and flew here.” She looks at the ring then at me.
“He knew?”
“He did,” I tell her. I knew I was going to have to tell the old man he was right. He loves being right.
“I’ll marry you, Tex Johnston,” she says kissing me.
“My name is actually Tyler. That should probably be the first thing you know,” I say.
“I did know that. Tyler Curtis Johnston. Born August 31st, 1991 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Sam and Tina Johnston.”
“Wow,” I say shaking my head. It turns me on more than it than should that she knows that kind of information about me off the top of her head.
“I might be your number one fan,” she says, laughing.
“Might be. Tell me what I need to know about you.”
“Bristol Renee Mayer. My birthday is on October 25th, 1996. My favorite color is pink, and I love daffodils.” I chuckle. Her liking daffodils makes perfect fucking sense.
“I am gonna love you forever, Bristol Renee.”
“I am gonna hold you to that, Tyler Curtis.”
Chapter Six
Bristol
After handling the Birmingham race well, I find myself in Asheville with my mom and my future mother in law. Planning a wedding is hard work and there is so much of it to do. Why can’t we just get married? Why does it have to be a big ordeal? In fifty years, I am not going to remember if I had the chicken or fish. I probably won’t even remember what my dress looked like without looking at pictures. At the end of the day, I just want to be the man of my dreams’ wife. They appear to be having fun, but eventually, I just can’t handle it anymore. My emotions are all over the place.
“Mom, Tina, I want to thank you for helping with all this stuff, but it’s not me. This isn’t what I want.” I hope I don’t come off as a bitch, but I can’t keep my mouth shut anymore. If I have to try on one more hideous dress I will scream, and that is not something anyone wants.
“Aww, baby. We understand. This is your big day it should be exactly how you want it. Tell us what you want, and we’ll make it happen.”
“I want daffodils. I want a champagne pink dress. I want to wear sneakers and I want to marry the man I love. I just don’t think this has to be all that complicated. Other than family, I really don’t care if anyone else is there. It’ll be me and Tex saying our vows before the Lord. Isn’t that enough?” I ask on the verge of tears. What the hell is wrong with me?
“Of course, not hun, that’ll be no problem,” Tina says reassuring me. “We can do all that and more, don’t worry.”
“No, please. No more. Just bare minimum.”
“Okay, Bristol. I just the bare minimum,” my mom says patting my arm. I can see that she is sharing a look with Tina, but I don’t care. It’s my day and I just want it to be simple.
“Hell, I’d be fine with Vegas,” I mumble, but they either didn’t hear me or choose to ignore me.
The next day, I do find myself in Vegas, much to my surprise. I both hate and love surprises. Austin and my mom sit on my side of the small chapel while his parents, his adorable grandfather, and Rowe sit on his side. I am getting married in a short black dress and some kitten heels I borrowed from Austin. When Tex sees me, his whole face lights up. It’s that right there that lets me know that I am his choice. That this is going to last. I make my way down the aisle where Elvis Presley is waiting at the end. It’s so cheesy, but it’s also so perfect.
After a brief ceremony riddled with Elvis puns and references, I am Mrs. Tyler Johnston and I couldn’t be happier. Two days ago, I only knew who he was based on his points standing. Now, I am his wife. Fate works in mysterious ways.
After a fancy dinner with our family, we head to our hotel room. It’s got a bed and that’s all we really need. Hotel rooms must really turn my husband on because again before the door is even closed, I am pinned to the nearest surface and he’s pulling my panties off with his teeth. He eats my pussy like a fucking god. He knows my body so well it doesn’t take before I am going off like a damn rocket. Before I have a chance to catch my breath my dress and bra are gone as are his clothes. I find myself on the bed and him above me.
