Placing her hands on my chest for leverage, I watch her come undone. She screams again. I love how vocal she is. I come again, filling her for the second time. She slumps down to rest her head on my chest, with my dick still nestled inside of her.
I am not sure how long we lay there, but I glance over at her alarm clock. I see that it’s late. Almost four. Fuck, we’re gonna be late.
“We gotta go, Trouble. Dinner is promptly at six. If we leave now, we can just make it.”
“Oh shit,” she says climbing off of me. As soon as she’s gone, I already miss the feel of her wrapped around me. She rushes into her closet while I stand and start putting my clothes back on. A few minutes later, she comes back out, fully dressed in a red dress and knee-high brown boots.
“You look beautiful,” I say.
“Thank you. For some reason, I really feel like it’s important that your family likes me.”
“They will, Trouble. I promise.” With her suitcase in one hand and her hand in the other, we make our way down to my truck. It’s jacked up, so once I get her stuff in the back, I lift her into the passenger seat. I assist her in buckling up then steal a kiss. She giggles. Once we are on the road, I grab her hand and hold it. She’s quiet as she stares out the window. “What’s wrong, Mads?” I ask, immediately concerned.
“Not a single thing,” she says smiling.
“You sure?” I press.
“Yes. I am just blissfully happy. I haven’t felt this way in so long, I forgot what happiness was like,” she says staring out the window again.
I vow here and now to never let her forget again.
No matter what happens in the future, Madalinn Savion is mine. Mine to protect. Mine to love. Mine to make happy.
Mine.
Chapter 4
Mads
The drive to Savannah was nice, Jimmy and I talked the whole way about all the mundane things you learn when you’ve been dating someone for a while. Suddenly, we are in the Victorian District. It’s fancy as hell and is always on those shows when you want to buy a new house on TLC. Suddenly, I feel underdressed and all of the things I bought won’t work either. Then we pull up to a huge house. Scarlett O’Hara’s house in Gone With The Wind ain’t got nothing on this one.
“Ready to go inside,” Jimmy asks after parking. I paste on a smile. I can do this.
“Yep,” I say getting out of the car.
We walk up the cobblestone walkway and walk right into the house. There is a lot of noise coming from somewhere in the house.
“Hello,” he calls out.
“James?” Is the responding shout.
“We’re here, Ma,” he says warming my heart.
An older woman walks into the hallway. She has an apron on that is covered in flour. I think there is even some in her hair.
“Trouble, this is my stepmother, Marjorie.”
“You can call me Ma, everyone does,” she says pulling me into a hug. I savor it, because it’s been so long since I had a mom hug.
“It’s so nice to meet you, Ma,” I say laughing. She finally releases me.
“Come in, come in. James,” she says pulling him into the same kind of hug.
We head into the living room, where there is a raucous game of Cards Against Humanity is going on.
“Everyone, this is Madalinn, my girlfriend,” he says introducing me. Somehow girlfriend doesn’t make me feel great, not after what we shared, but I smile anyways. “Mads, this is my sister, KittyAnn and her wife, Mavis. They just got married last week,” he says.
“Congratulations,” I say to the striking couple. “It’s nice to meet you,” I tell them.
“You too. I didn’t know James had a girlfriend,” KittyAnn says.
“It’s pretty new,” I say not exactly lying.
“Moving on,” James says after clearing his throat. “This is my sister Shaynah and her husband Blake. They got married in October. Shay works at the Tattooed Vixen downtown.”
“Oh, cool. I’ve always wanted a tattoo,” I say shaking their hands.
“Come on in. I’ll fix you up,” Shaynah says.
“That would be awesome. Thank you.”
“No problem.”
“This is my dad, John.”
“Nice to meet you, Sir.”
“It’s a pleasure, Madalinn. Welcome to our home,” he says pulling me into a hug just like Marjorie did.
“These are my grandparents. Gretchen, Jim, Rita, and Rick. My Aunt Friday and Uncle Doug. These are my cousins Heidi and Victor,” he says gesturing to various people sitting around the room.
“Nice to meet you guys. Merry Christmas!” This is not overwhelming at all; I lie to myself.
“Come play with us, Madalinn. You can be on my team. I still have trouble with the big words,” Heidi says. She can’t be more than ten, but she’s adorable.
“Sure,” I say sitting down on the floor next to her.
