“I don’t know what I did wrong?” he says shrugging. “Maybe she’s just sensitive.”

“Never, ever say that to her. Besides, you basically implied that you’re a whore, which you are not,” I tell him. While he’s not a virgin like I was, he’s jaded about women and very selective. I think in the last ten years, he’s been in one relationship and that didn’t last long because she was after his money.

“Not to mention the fact that you said she looked old. Girls don’t like that, son,” Dad says.

When the ladies come back, it’s evident that Deanna has been crying. I am going to kick Ian’s ass, but they sit down and get back to their reading the menu as if nothing happened. Deanna makes it a point to ignore Ian throughout the rest of lunch, even though he tries to apologize several times.

After lunch, Kristina and Deanna hug for a long time, before she leaves with my parents and Kristina and I get in the car and head to the airport.

Chile is amazing. The beaches are pristine, and the nightlife is popping, but we honestly spent most of the time in our suite, making love. Now that it’s time to go home, Kristina is getting excited to see Kayleigh again. We know that it’s not going to be an easy road to ger her, but that’s what makes it all worthwhile. My lawyer has been working on this for a while now, but now that we are headed home, it’s time to ramp up our efforts.

Our flight didn’t get in until midnight and by the time we got home it was damn near two, so we left Deanna at my parents. Stumbling into our bedroom, jetlagged, we rip each other’s clothes off quickly while kissing. It’s only been twelve hours since I was last inside of her, but I need her again. She is like the air I breathe.

My cock is already hard, and her pussy is wet for me. She spreads her thighs and I waste no time sinking into her. In and out I thrust.

“I am going to breed you before long, wife,” I growl. Her pussy

clenches around me.

“You keep saying that husband, but I’ve seen no proof of it,”

she moans.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” I chant as I give us what we both need. She flies apart underneath me, and I can’t hold on. I fill her with my seed yet again. This is what happens when your dreams come true right before your eyes.

Chapter 10

Kristina

Eight Weeks Later

“What if he doesn’t sign the papers?” I ask my husband. Fuck how I love saying that. I was determined to keep my walls up, but he just bulldozed his way right into my heart and I couldn’t be happier or luckier to have a man that never gave up on me.

All be it right now, I am a fucking wreck. Right after we got married, we both started on what we needed to do in order to adopt our baby girl. We got done with our adoption classes two weeks ago and baby Kayleigh has been living with us for almost a week now.

It’s perfect and so is she. I was able to graduate early no less because I had spent so much time at the hospital with my girl. I fell in love with her the minute she was placed in my arms and just knew that no one could love her better than me and Nick. Today is also a big day for D. She is being emancipated from our mother so she can consent to live with us. We will never have to worry about our mother coming to take her away. My eyes well up with tears.

“They can’t take her from us, Nick. She is our baby,” I tell him. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close. I take a deep breath and inhale his intoxicating scent. He has told me that there is nothing to worry about. That there is no way they won’t find us to be suitable parents. However, there is that little part of me that wonders if I might have to pull a Meredith Gray and run with the baby and don’t fucking think that I won’t. He has given me no reason not to believe him, so I need to get my shit together. As of late, my emotions have been getting the better of me which is weird since I’m normally not an overly emotional person.

“Kristina, take a deep breath. The judge is a friend of mine and he has seen how good you are with her. There is no way he will not let her come home with us for good.” I nod my head against his chest.

“You’re right we got this.” I plaster a smile on my face that I don’t quite feel and look up at him. He wipes away a stray tear from my cheek.
