“Yes.”

“Yes, Sir,” I corrected her.

“Yes, Sir,” she repeated, her voice noticeably weak.

I craned my neck and pressed a kiss to her bare shoulder, tasting the skin that drove me wild. I moved up her neck and to her ear, kissing the shell as I breathed into her canal. My hand tightened on the leash, and I gave her a slight tug. “Why are you doing this? I know this isn’t what you want.”

“May I turn around?” she whispered.

“No.” We did things my way when we were in my playroom. She didn’t have a voice as far as I was concerned.

“I don’t want to lose you, Calloway… I love you.”

I pressed my face against the back of her head, treasuring the confession she just made. I stood my ground and walked away from her, and now she was the one chasing me. I used to dream about this moment, but I stopped the second I got out of that car.

But now it came true.

“You trust me, sweetheart?” I wrapped my arms across her chest, holding her against me with the leash still held in my hand. The moment was hard to grasp because it was too good. I needed to pinch myself to make sure this wasn’t a dream, to make sure it was real.

“Yes…”

“Yes, Sir. Don’t make me tell you again.”

“Yes, Sir,” she said quickly.

I unlocked the collar and tossed it on the floor. It fell with a loud clank once it hit the wooden floorboards. I walked around her until we were face-to-face. Her cheeks were flushed with both fear and arousal. I could see her emotions on the surface of her eyes. “You do as I say. No questions asked.”

She kept her arms to her sides, her face straight ahead, and her eyes shifted up to look at me. “Yes, Sir.”

Jesus Christ, I was hard. My cock was pressed firmly against the inside of my zipper. I couldn’t wait to bury myself in that tight pussy. It’d been so long since I had her. And I’d never had her like this before.

“You do not speak to another man inside Ruin.”

Rome wasn’t the type of woman to take orders from anyone, especially jealous requests. This would test her commitment, to see if she really could give me what I wanted.

The battle took place on her face. She didn’t deny me, but she didn’t agree with me either.

I waited, losing my patience.

“Yes, Sir.”

My spine tightened at her response. I could feel my muscles tense and coil in satisfaction. My dick twitched in my pants, and I almost came then and there. “You’re to look at the floor anytime you’re in another man’s presence.”

She struggled with this too. She closed her mouth and pressed her lips tightly together, swallowing whatever smartass remark sat on the tip of her tongue. Somehow, she found the restraint to swallow it. “Yes, sir.”

Damn, this was really happening.

“You will do as I instruct until I release you. I will push you as hard as I want. I will hurt you as much as I want. Your life, your destiny, is completely in my hands. Do you accept those terms?”

Her eyes shifted to the floor.

I raised my voice. “Eyes on me.”

They flicked up again, and she swallowed hard.

“Do you accept those terms? I won’t repeat myself.”

“Yes, Sir.”

Now my heart was racing, pumping blood to every muscle in my body. I felt the sweat collect on the back of my neck even though I was standing absolutely still. My heart ached in my chest, full of excitement and longing. “I’m in charge. I issue the commands, and you obey. You don’t need to think while you’re in here—just listen. But you do have all the power, Rome.”

“I do?” she whispered.

“If you want me to stop, all you need to do is say the safe word. I’ll stop everything I’m doing and walk away. I’ll move to the other side of the room and kneel until you give me permission to move.”

“What’s the safe word?”

I looked into her eyes and knew exactly what it would be. I’d always been obsessed with those deep emerald eyes, the only jewelry that I possessed. It was the opposite of the typical safe words I used, but I thought it fit us better. “Green. Repeat it.”

“Green…”

“Remember it. If you tell me to stop, I’m not going to stop. I’ll only cease what I’m doing if you say the safe word. Do you understand me?”

“Yes, sir.”

“Explain what I just said to you.”

“Calloway, I understand—”

“It’s Sir only.”

She shut her mouth at her mistake.

“And do as I asked.” I suspected there would be bumps along the way. Rome had such a strong backbone that it was difficult for her to blindly listen to anyone. But that made breaking her all that much more satisfying.

She hesitated before she spoke. “If it becomes too much for me, all I need to do is say green. Asking you to stop won’t work. Only the word green will be effective.”
