Mated Enemies

“We’re no more evil than that den of vipers you come from.” He sneered as he placed the tray down on the table and I jumped up off the bed. How dare he compare my clan to his…
I looked around for my clothes but they were nowhere in sight, I was still wearing one of his shirts which he’d given me the night before. No doubt he’d hidden them somewhere to keep me here.
“You need to calm down. All that fire can’t be good for my kid. Save it for when I’m fucking you.” My head is about to explode.
“You are the most…aggravating, annoying…I couldn’t find the words. “Where are my damn clothes?”
Good! At least my nymph was the one in attendance, she seems better equipped to deal with him. But what about when she’s not here? I haven’t the first clue how to conjure her since she’d only made an appearance here in the last few months and I’m still getting to learn the mechanics of what makes her tick. And he’s ticking all the right boxes right now with his macho man deal.
“Since you’re not going anywhere you won’t be needing them. Now come and eat.” I was about to tell him that I wasn’t hungry but just then my stomach growled embarrassingly and I felt like a bottomless pit of a hole had suddenly opened up in my tummy.
“Fine, but then I’m going home.” I stomped across the room to where he had a table set up in a little circular alcove surrounded by windows. For someone who was supposed to hate sunlight he sure did like surrounding himself with glass walls.
He heaped a mountain of food on my plate from the serving dish and I didn’t even bother telling him that it was too much. At this point, the less I say to him the better, but as I lifted the first morsel to my lips, a rush of hunger hit me and the medium well steak tasted like the best thing I’d ever put in my mouth.
“Ummmm!” I shoveled it in like a lumberjack and was surprised at the dent I made in it when I finally allowed myself to take a breath. I looked down at the plate in amazement and then back at him. “Did you drug me?”
“Don’t be an ass; it’s the kid.”
“Would you stop saying that?” Just then I felt something flutter inside me and almost fell off my chair.
“What did you do?” The question was stupid and pointless since I already knew the answer but I’d put off thinking about the baby that he keeps mentioning, and now it was glaring me in the face.
I felt a growing panic and the need to escape as I put the last few days into perspective. This was all happening way too fast. For as long as I’ve been alive I’ve known that he and his kind are my mortal enemies.
The enmity between the two clans is not something that can just be brushed aside in a day or two. And I am not going to be the one to get caught up in the middle of this mess.
“You were there what do you think I did? I fucked you.” I hate him so much.
“No you don’t, you’d like to, but you don’t. Finish your meal.”

She’s a handful! Her nymph was in rare form, or since I don’t know her that well, maybe this is how she usually is. She did everything in her power to wear my patience thin. What she didn’t know is that she had an unfair advantage on this playing field.
There isn’t much I would deny her, nothing I wouldn’t give her or give into within reason. So I let her take digs at me as she stuffed her face, berating me for being a pig among other things.
Once she was through with her steak and half of mine she got started on the warm peach cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream that Dennis had somehow guessed she’d like.
“Are you gonna give me my clothes or am I walking out of here naked?” I noticed her syntax changes with personalities. The fairy is a lady down to her core, and would never use anything but the most perfect vernacular. While this one just lets rip with whatever comes into her head.
I didn’t answer her since in her mind I could see that she was trying to pick a fight with me because she was nervous and scared. Not the same scared she’d been when she thought I would fuck her to death, but scared nonetheless.
I sipped my coffee which is all I’d allowed myself to have while watching her and in all fairness, my son, plow through the meal that she’d sworn she didn’t want. Even as she shoveled it in by the forkfuls!
