Sold to Him - Page 18

“I miss you too, Mickey bear.” My eyes flooded with tears and I gripped the phone so hard that it creaked. Of course. This is what I’m doing this for. My family. The only family that stuck by me through everything and loves me despite everything else going on. They’d never abandon me just like I’d never abandon them. “I’ll be home soon,” I told him just as another coughing fit rang out over the phone.

Tears tumble down my cheeks at the memory of Mickey and Nana struggling to make ends meet in our shabby one-bedroom apartment. But I’ll help them, is my fierce thought. Come hell or high water, I’ll find a way to make life better for them even if it kills me.

Quickly, I wipe the tears from my face with the edge of my nightgown. I have a job to interview for, and unknown billionaires to satisfy.

I look around the luxurious room they’ve set me up in, my mind working. What’s supposed to happen today, anyway? Will I see Grayson Knight again? Am I going to entertain a bunch of super rich guys?

I clench my hands into the sheets in nervousness and fear, with just a touch of anticipation. I swallow heavily, stomach churning a bit. No, I can’t let the fear take over and scare me away from this. Remember Mickey and Nana. They’re the only ones who count. I have to face whatever’s coming next for them. I take a deep breath, and when I let it out, only resolve and determination remain.

After a quick shower, I put on the only thing I have—the same slinky dress from yesterday. I still don’t know where my old clothes are, but I have a sneaking suspicion I won’t get them back until this bizarre interview is over—or maybe ever, come to think of it.

Just as I turn on the TV to settle back and wait, I hear a knock at the door. It’s the tall blonde woman from yesterday, Marian. I finally learned her name, but it took a while for me to differentiate between all of the gorgeous blonde employees here. She’s wearing a sharply cut suit, this one deep burgundy with a black blouse underneath. The suit combined with the subtle gold jewelry in her ears, around her neck, and the single ring on her finger make it so obvious how different we are. She’s put together and professional, ready to make deals involving a lot of money. While me, I’m a…well, just a nobody. A toy for Richie Rich guys to buy, use, and play with, and then abandon whenever they’re ready. She looks useful and important while I just look like a plaything in my tiny gold dress that barely covers my assets.

Blushing like a fool, I cross my arms to cover the print of my nipples through the skimpy material. But contact with them only makes them harder, and my mind immediately goes to Grayson Knight licking and squeezing them. Another blush scorches my face and turns it beet red.

But Marian doesn’t seem concerned at all. “Good, you showered already.” She looks me over, her expression perfectly neutral like a robot. “I’m here to escort you to Mr. Knight’s office.” She politely bows her sleek blonde head.

Okay. Get it together. This girl doesn’t care about anything I do. She’s got a job here to do just like I hopefully will after today. Another deep breath and I pull my shoulders back to stand up straight, popping my tits out. This time I fight the automatic sense of embarrassment.

Because this is why they put me in this skimpy dress, right? To show off my generous Double Ds?

I nod back at the blonde and, after slipping on the high heels they gave me yesterday, I step into the corridor. Marian leads the way and I walk behind her. The super cold air conditioning blows over my bare arms and my already hard nipples. Every step I take, I can feel my bare pussy and the hot friction of my thighs rubbing together.

Does this mean I’m going to see Grayson Knight again? Right now? The very idea of seeing him again is like a hot tongue on my clit, and I shiver with lust.

Marian walks on, oblivious to my thoughts. Her high heels and mine click on the marble floors, but that’s the only sound between us. No conversation at all. We keep walking and pass closed door after closed door, but no windows. It’s dark, but somehow the shadows are soothing, and not creepy. It’s like being tucked away in a luxurious castle. There are velvet tapestries on the walls and plush, luxe furniture in each room. If I let my imagination run wild, I can easily imagine that I’m in some kind of fairy tale. I’m just not sure if Grayson Knight is the handsome prince or a hungry wolf.
