Wrecked - A Dark Sci-Fi Romance - Page 40

“You want me to sell myself to you?”

She’s not understanding me. I will have to be more explicit.

Aspel

“You came from the farm on Earth,” he says. “A place where they breed your kind for food.”

“Yes.”

“What if we could make it disappear, forever?”

“What exactly are you suggesting, Isu?”

“The wyrm that consumed our world is searching for more sustenance. It could be directed to your planet. All would be consumed, but there would be no suffering. Just one moment of consumption, and then nothing more.”

He is asking me if I would like him to somehow direct the whim of a wyrm, take its wrath out on the planet where I was raised. That sounds like an exquisite madness to me.

“I don’t think so, Isu.”

“If you can spare others suffering, should you not do it?”

“Not when it means they all die.”

“Is it better to be born and live on the farm than not to exist at all?”

“Yes. Probably. I don’t know. But I know you won’t unleash that wyrm on the farm. Heroes are supposed to slay dragons, not spread them.”

Isu laughs. “Those who would destroy the wyrm are no different than the wyrm itself. Destruction, death, they are part of life. That is why your farm works, because the Vargons understand that every part of a living being is worth something.”

“You’re an asshole.”

“I’m a survivor,” he bites back, his dark hair flowing with a toss of his head, the white slash of his fangs punctuating the words. “I am not a human who can live inside an idea. I work with reality as it is, not as you idealistic humans think it should be. That’s the problem with you, Aspel. You let the idea of a thing get in the way of seeing it for what it is. You’re trying to fool me with fake submission, but…” He takes my chin in his large hand and makes me look into the void of his eyes. “I see you, Aspel. I see the truth of you.”

Something at the very core of me quivers, and I know why I love him. He is ruthless, maybe even evil, but he sees me. No pretense is accepted.

“So,” he says. “Shall we turn the eater of worlds on the farm where you were born? Or shall we let the Vargons continue to farm your people, turning them into parts for the alien meat markets, and slaves for the Antari sector?”

“There has to be a middle way.”

“Does there?” He cocks his head to the side and gives me another one of those almost pitying looks. “Why not put all those poor people out of their misery? Erf remains as a bastion of freedom of sorts.”

“Erf is a decadent piss-hole,” I grumble to myself. I am still what they would call salty over the lack of rescue. I knew they wouldn’t come, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to accept the fact that they haven’t come. Some things are painful whether you anticipate them or not. I have been abandoned, and this time Isu is both tormentor and savior.

He smirks at me and pats my cheek lightly. “You are so human. You hate your kind, but you love them. You hate me, but you love me too. You crave safety, but you put yourself in danger. You are a captive contradiction.”

“There’s nothing you can give me, Isu. You can’t right the wrongs of the farm. You can’t kill the wyrm. There is no way to rid the universe of injustice, pain, fear. But you can choose to not be part of it. You could set me free.”

Isu laughs in my face, much as I thought he would. There is no freedom to be had now, perhaps not ever. I delivered myself back into his captivity, and I will have to live with that.

“You want to submit to me, human? You call me Master and lick the food from my fingers? Come here, and lick another part of me.”

He is referring, of course, to his erection. I no longer know what I am doing. My plans have become muddied inside my own mind. First I rebelled, then I pretended to submit, and then somewhere inside that pretense I felt, for a second, something real.

Isu is not a kind creature, but he wants to give me vengeance against those who imprison my kind. It is a brutal revenge that would cause the deaths of thousands, but I know that is the best he can offer me. I did not seek Isu out because I craved compassion or civilization. I flew to him because of this thing between us, this connection he forged in the depths of his now lost planet.

Master Isu draws me forward by the back of my neck and presses the thick length of this cock against my cheek before rubbing it back and forth along my lips until they part all too willingly and allow him to plunge slowly inside my wet, willing mouth. He fed me food, now he is feeding me his lust. I taste his desire as it smears across my tongue, swallow it down to my belly where it dances in sparks of flame at the very core of me.
