When we finally made it to the restaurant, I held her hand firmly in mine as the hostess led us to one of the private booths in the back. This establishment was specifically geared towards couples and romance. The booths in the back had thick velvet curtains that closed around the occupants giving them almost complete privacy.

I gestured for Lia to slide onto the U-shaped seat first, then followed her, settling right next to her rather than across. A waitress came by and I ordered a glass of Moscato for Lia as she had mentioned that it was her favorite, and a club soda for myself since I was driving.

After she returned with our drinks, we ordered dinner and it arrived shortly. Then the waitress told us to hit the call button on the wall at the back of the booth if we needed anything. Before leaving, she drew the curtains, cocooning us in our own little world. The wait staff were instructed to only approach these booths when called so I knew we wouldn’t be disturbed.

We talked and laughed as we ate, simply enjoying each other’s company. It was comfortable and relaxed, reminding me that everything about Lia was perfect for me. It was so easy to be with her, yet she made my blood boil with lust. I’d never wanted a woman, never wanted anything, like I wanted her.

Once we were done, I put our plates on the tray they left for them just outside the curtain. The booth seats were large, and the table was far enough away that we had to sit on the edge to eat. However, it was designed this way on purpose. It left plenty of room for things—things like lifting Lia up and dragging her into my lap.

“Now,” I purred as I slid my hand up her leg and between her thighs. “Let’s see if you were a good girl and did as you were told. I hope you were very good because it’ll make it easier for me to show you how sorry I am.”

Lia

I had followed his instructions about not wearing any panties under my dress, but I squeezed my legs shut and trapped his hand between them before he could discover it for himself. I had a question I needed an answer to first. Pointing at the closed curtains, I lifted a brow and asked, “How often have you made use of the privacy those offer?”

Becket grabbed my hand and nipped at the tip of my finger and growled, “Never.”

I narrowed my eyes at him. “Oh, really? Then how did you know that this would be the perfect place for you to show me how sorry you are?”

“Fuck. You’re not going to let this go, are you?” he groaned, his head dropping against the back of the booth while his cheeks turned pink.

He looked so damn cute that it melted some of the jealousy I felt at the thought of him bringing another woman to this place. But not all of it. “If you don’t fess up to what’s making you blush; these legs are staying closed.” I punctuated my point by squeezing his hand tighter between my thighs.

His head jerked up and his fingers bit into my soft skin as his dark eyes burned into mine. “We both know that if I tried hard enough, I could talk you into parting those pretty legs for me.”

“I’m not going to argue with you about that since you would probably just take it as a challenge and then you’d see how little effort it would actually take.” Now I was the one who was blushing. “But I’d still like an answer to my question. Please.”

“Remember when my brother said that he didn’t remember the last time I’d been out on a date?” I nodded. “Well, he wasn’t exaggerating,” he sighed.

“And that means what exactly?” I prodded.

“It means that I couldn’t even tell you the last time I took a woman out for dinner. Or who it was.” His gaze darted to the curtain and he shook his head. “But I can for damn sure tell you that I’ve never taken anyone else here. I didn’t even know about this place until I went online and searched for the most romantic restaurants in Vegas because I wanted to make tonight as special for you as I could.”

“Wow,” I breathed. I liked his answer. A lot, and for more than one reason. It was quite nice that it’d been that long since he’d been on a date. But it was amazing to know that he’d put that much effort into making these plans. “That’s incredibly sweet.”

“Yeah?” He flashed me a grin, and it made my heart race. “Sweet enough for you to let me see how good of a girl you were?”
