Olivia gasped, and fresh tears fell in earnest. “Seriously?”
“I have old knees. Would I be upon them if I did not mean it?”
She laughed through her tears, and happiness glowed on her face, reminding him of just one of the many reasons he needed her. She was his light. His future.
“I love you. I’m sorry I believed my father above you,” she murmured.
“You were seeking the parental approval your mother denied you and you most desired. You are entitled to seek happiness. I cannot change what she did to you, but I can give you every bit of my heart and hope you find the joy you seek with me.”
She nodded. “I never thought you would genuinely return my feelings. I was afraid to hope—”
“Do you say aye?”
“Yes!”
“Thank God. I can wait no longer to touch you.” Marrok pinned her to the wall.
Then he kissed her senseless, breaking away once they were both panting and aching.
“Are you going to make a habit of ravishing me against walls?”
“Do you like it?” He pressed his erection against her, dotting her soft, scented neck with sweet kisses.
She purred. “Love it.”
“Then aye. I will love you in any way you wish me to show you.”
Olivia pressed her soft mouth to his. “Promise?”
“Always. Care to start now?”
