Losing It

She does.

But then there’s nowhere else I’d rather be.

I push myself up. Wrap my arms around her. Kiss her hard.

She isn’t shy about tasting herself on my lips.

She kisses back, hard and hungry.

“I need to make you come again, angel.” I brush her hair behind her ear.

She stares back at me. “Then fuck me.”

God dammit, maybe I need to reconsider.

I want to be inside her.

To be one with her.

To feel her come on my cock.

God dammit, I really want her coming on my cock.

“Give me a minute.” I pull her close for a moment, then I climb out of bed, move to the bathroom, pee, wash my hands.

A knock interrupts. “Get dressed. You’re coming to dinner with us.” Griffin’s voice flows through the door.

“Go away,” I call back.

His friend laughs.

Quinn does too.

I step out of the bathroom.

She wraps the blanket around her chest. Shoots me a should we look.

I shake my head. We should stay here. In this room. Forever.

“I’m kinda starving.” She presses her hand to her stomach. “Let’s eat. Then after—” she motions to the bed.

“Have after dinner plans for us already,” I say.

Her lips curl into a frown.

“But after that.”

“Okay.” She smiles. “After that.”

“You have twenty minutes,” Griffin says. “The place downstairs.”

“Sorry,” his friend says. “We, um, didn’t want to interrupt.”

“Speak for yourself, Jules. I wanted the free audio porn,” he says.

She laughs. “Okay… Um… see you then.”

Quinn slides off the bed. “Until then.”

Chapter Forty-Four

Wes

The six of us cram into the hotel’s nicest restaurant, a sushi place with insane prices and strong drinks.

The food is decent at best. But with my friends here, and Quinn by my side, it’s perfect.

Everyone makes a point of including her. And Juliette.

The girls go over the plans for tomorrow. Museums. Or the pool. Or gambling. Or the fake Venetian canals. Or the sweet air-conditioning of our respective hotel rooms.

Okay, maybe I’m the one lobbying for that.

But I can’t help myself.

Quinn is too fucking irresistible.

“Oh my God.” Quinn cringes as she steps onto the walkway. “Is this really the temperature at night?”

I nod. I’m not exactly a Vegas regular, but I’ve been enough to know this is a normal summer evening.

She looks at me like I’m crazy. “And people come here by choice?”

“Why you here?”

“You dragged me.”

“You want to go home?”

Her lips curl into a coy smile. She wants to be here. She wants to be here forever.

I do too.

“‘Cause we can hop in the car and head home right now,” I say.

“It’s not our car,” she says.

That’s true. But—”We can take a taxi to the airport.”

Her gaze shifts to the hotel across the way—the New York, New York. “Well…”

“Well…”

“We did drive all this way.” She moves onto the concrete walkway. It’s crowded with people. Tourists taking in the kitsch of a fake castle next to a fake skyline, gamblers looking to win big, drunk or soon to be drunk twenty-somethings looking to connect—

Fuck, why are we here instead of our hotel room?

Quinn looks so fucking delicious in her snug white dress. Fuck, the way that thing hugs her curvy hips.

I have to stop staring or I’m going to get hard.

And I’m pretty sure security is serious about kicking out miscreants.

I need to focus on something besides her perfect body.

Like teasing back. “It’s just about the long drive?”

She nods. “It would be a shame to miss out on the glory of New York City.”

“Or you’re full of shit.”

“Hmm… seems more likely I want to take in the skyline.”

“It’s so realistic.”

“You’ve been?”

I nod. “A long time ago.”

“It’s been a while for me too.” Her eyes meet mine. “I can see you there.”

“You too.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. You never considered New York?” I ask.

She shakes her head. “No. It’s always been Chicago. I’ve always assumed I’d end up there. Even when I came to USC trying to escape. It still felt like Chicago was my fate.” She clears her throat. “But it’s not special enough for a casino.”

“So it’s clearly inferior.”

“Though…”

“Yeah?”

“I don’t see a Los Angeles casino.” She interlocks her fingers with mine and leads me across the bridge.

“This whole place is a Los Angeles casino.”

“Is that so?” Quinn sighs as she steps into the air-conditioned casino.

“We’re a desert, this is a desert.”

“I’m just saying. A tiny Hollywood sign and a fake pier would go far.”

“I could see it.”

“Me too.” She inhales deeply as we pass a pretzel stand. Her lips part with a giggle. “Just like New York.”

“You look like you belong in New York, angel.”

“You mean this?” She smooths her dress. Shoots me an impossibly coy smile.

I nod.

“Or maybe these?” She taps her red heels together.

Fuck me.

“Wes?”

“Yeah.”

“You okay?”

I shake my head. Wrap my arms around her. Pull her into a slow, deep kiss.

Her lips close around mine. She sucks softly. Then harder. Then it’s her tongue swirling around mine.

Fuck, she tastes good.

Like the chocolate mousse she had for dessert.
