“I’m sorry, sweetheart, but I can’t accept it. I refuse to believe that my little girl would want something so obscene.” Shaking his head, Michael turns back towards us. He looks like a defeated man, but then out of nowhere, he tries to attack Ryan once again. The burly man puts his head down and rushes my friend like they’re on the football field, but Mike is no match for Ryan. Ryan steps aside at the last moment, and Mike literally hits the wall full-force before collapsing on the ground in a sad, soggy pile.
“Daddy!” Amelia screams as she runs over to Michael. He’s a moaning, writhing mess on the ground. Mike looks up at her, his pale blue eyes emblazoned with pain, but then he speaks.
“Get away,” he rasps. “You’re no daughter of mine.”
Amelia lets out a sharp sob, and runs out of the house with tears flowing freely.
Meanwhile, Ryan and I tower over Mike, our faces covered with disgust.
“Amelia is a wonderful, intelligent, independent young woman, and if you think we somehow managed to force her to be with us, then you clearly don’t know your own daughter. But I will say this: you will regret the day you broke her heart. All she wanted was for you to share in her happiness, but instead of respecting her decision, you tried to make her feel dirty and ashamed. Well, the joke’s on you. We still want to be with a relationship with your daughter, and we’re still going to date. The only difference is that now, you won’t be around to witness our relationship grow. Think about that when you’re here in this house sad and alone.”
Looking at me, Ryan adds, “Let’s go. We’re done here.”

Amelia
Six months later.
Waddling out to grab the mail, I can’t believe how much my life had changed. After that horrible day at my dad’s house, I packed all my things and moved out that night. Luckily, Ryan and Reese let me move in with them. They live in a huge mansion on the outskirts of town, and it was easy to find space for me. Not that we needed it. I moved straight into their room, and we took up immediately, resuming our intimacies.
Shaking my head, I smile as I think of those first few months. They were everything I’ve ever wanted in a partner; they love me and treat me with the utmost respect. They enjoy taking care of me and showing me how much they love me each and every day, whether by cooking meals or showering me with gifts.
Now that I’ve graduated high school, life seems to fly by. A few months after moving in, I found that I was pregnant with our first child. We couldn’t be any happier at the news, and I know Reese and Ryan are ecstatic at the prospect of being daddies. They’ll be wonderful fathers, and I smile to myself, rubbing my belly fondly.
The only dark spot on my cloud of happiness is my continued separation from my dad. I haven’t seen him since the day he refused to accept our relationship six months ago. He didn’t even show up for my high school graduation. That one hurt, but what could I do? He’s made his feelings abundantly clear, and as much as I miss my dad, I wasn’t going to give up on Ryan and Reese. They’ve become my sun in the sky; the two alpha males bring me such joy that I can’t imagine my life without them.
But the tense relationship with my dad makes me sad, and after much discussion with the guys, we’ve decided to tell him that I’m pregnant with his first grandchild. I won’t lie; I’m terrified of how Michael might react. Will he call my baby the spawn of the devil? The result of an unholy union? The last time he was confronted with our relationship he broke my heart, so I’m not sure what to expect now.
Waddling back up to the house, I’m not surprised to see Ryan waiting for me at the door. Kissing my forehead, he takes the mail from my hands.
“Amelia, you know you don’t have to do this. You should be resting with your feet up. Let us take care of you and our little one.”
Rolling my eyes, I remind him, “Ryan, I’m pregnant, not an invalid. While I love that you guys want to spoil me rotten, I still want to do a few things here and there.”
Grinning, he grabs my arms and gently pulls me into our home as he speaks.
“We know that; really, we do. We just want to show you how much we love you and the beautiful baby you’re carrying. You’re our world, Amelia, so don’t rob us of the chance to show our love. You have no idea how happy you’ve made us these last six months and spoiling you is the least we can do to repay you for the happiness you’ve given us.”
