“I’m in trouble.” I barely breathed.

“Oh yes, you are.” As soon as he said it, his mouth started kissing a trail up my pussy where his tongue dove in and the rest was a blur of motion, fingers, and oh so impossibly hard and thick cock.

As much as he loved a hard-fast gut pounding, he’d been a lot more sensual and slower lately. Perhaps he worried about the baby or maybe me, but whatever the case his lovemaking had become slow and rhythmic only picking up when he was on the cusp of ecstasy. No matter how much time he took though, he always came hard. I loved the way his face reddened, and his expression was both pained and pleasured as he’d grunt and yelped his release.

I kissed his sweet mouth and used my arms to keep him in me. I loved the feel of him in my body, though I barely had the strength to contain him as our sex drained me of the very last of my energy.

“Stay,” I breathed as my eyes grew heavy and tired.

He gave me a soft kiss on my temple. “I’m not going anywhere…” he gently pulled himself out of me and I drifted off to sleep. “… ever.” I thought I heard him say.

Chapter 26

Liam

I awoke to the sound of my phone pinging. Avery was nestled deep into my chest and I didn’t want to wake her, but I’d been holding on to this secret for a really long time. She was doing so well and trying too hard to be perfect. I did my best to offer her love and solace, but I also was the enemy in some respects. She needed people who were one hundred percent team Avery and so I answered my phone and did my best not to wake her. She needed her sleep.

“Hello,” I answered knowing it was James on the other line.

“They’re here,” he said, sounding just the tiniest bit overwhelmed.

My heartbeat. Avery was going to be so surprised. Her people weren’t expected to come until two days before the wedding and her family felt worried about there being so much press and media attention. They would be at the wedding but wanted to try and keep a low profile.

“So, Mom, Dad,” Avery said while she had them both conferenced in on the phone. “I’m pregnant.”

“Weren’t you and the prince taking precautions my dear?” Her mother asked in the most passive-aggressive way.

“Obviously not,” was her father’s even more disappointing response.

I knew Avery needed an extra boost and so I paid to have her roommates flown in a week early to help her with everything. It was a risky move as they might help her come to her senses and realize what she was doing was completely banjaxed.

“We’ll be out in a minute.” I hung up the phone and thought about how best to surprise Avery.

Since she was sleeping so soundly, I slowly extracted myself from her and slipped out of her arms. I then entered my closet and grabbed the nearest matching suit pants and dress shirt. I splashed some water on my face and hair and met Madison and Kylie in the living room of my living quarters.

“Welcome,” I made sure to sound kind and accommodating. I had to get the two of them on my side. The better Kylie and Madison thought of me the more support I would have. “Thank you for coming as soon as you got here, you both must be tired.” I was fully aware that I was rambling, but I didn’t care, my nerves were on fire.

“Alec and the baby are resting upstairs. The rooms are beautiful, thank you.” Kylie was polite, but I could tell she wasn’t very comfortable.

“I’m good. The room is perfect for me too and I have a week off, so I’m ready to steal my girl and get my Ireland on,” Madison added.

“Well, she doesn’t know you’re here and I really think she needs you both right now as I said over the phone. So, she’s asleep, but she might love it if you woke her up. That way she won’t sneak out to do her work. I happen to know she’s almost done with everything, my little overachiever.”

I was so proud of her. She was going crazy finishing the bridal designs and her runway show but according to the designers that I had hired to work with her, she was done with all the work. Things just needed tailoring which we had scheduled for that afternoon.

“Let me at her,” Madison blurted out, enthusiastic.

“Right this way.” I lead Avery’s posse to the bedroom.

As soon as they got in there they pounced on her. Even the demure Kylie jumped right onto the bed. My heartfelt lighter just having them here for her. They were going to stay with us the whole week before the wedding, pampering Avery and helping her get ready for our wedding.
