“Here we are.” His mouth looked raw and swollen.
My lips were also raw and sensitive from all the kissing, but damn the kissing was so good. I’d locked lips with a few men, but Alec … he was a virtuoso. I could only imagine what the rest of him could do. I wiggled out of the limo and righted my clothes as I stared up a million stories.
“Let me guess … you’re on the top.” I lifted my eyebrows, trying to tease.
“I am, but for you, it’s the basement,” he said with such a straight face I thought he might actually be serious.
I looked back to the driver as he pulled into traffic. This made him burst into laughter.
“Really?” He was still laughing. “Do you think I’m a monster?”
“Well, I mean I have a team of girls for this very reason.” I tried to see the humor, but I was genuinely a little worried.
“No, to the top, very predictably billionaire …” He took off his long overcoat and placed it over my shoulders.
The night air had me shivering, but really it was more Alec who made me tremble. I’d thought to wear a T-shirt and jeans so I wouldn’t be recognized and was so focused on dressing down I forgot I needed to keep warm. A bellman opened the door for us and punched in a code that activated the elevator.
“Your own elevator?” I asked, not surprised, but still sort of surprised.
“Well, I don’t have a team of girls who have my back. I need a little deeper level of security.” His smile was genuine and warm.
As soon as the door opened, we walked in for what I thought would be an uncomfortable ride up to the tippy top, but no, Alec wasn’t a wait around in discomfort kind of guy. He immediately swooped in and was on me again. This time, he started with my neck which made me crumble into him.
“What are you, a vampire?” I tried to wiggle away from the sensations that were exploding my vagina with need.
He stopped his assault only long enough to answer me.
“Your neck is an erogenous zone. If I want to get a woman with your um … shall we say guarded sexuality to open up those gorgeous legs”, he tickled between my legs sending me in a different direction to escape the feelings. “I need to work the e-zones.” He flourished his hand as a sort of playful threat. “Of course, you’re very sensitive here.” His fingers strummed along the seam of my jeans between my legs.
“Fuck me, Alec …” I doubled over toward him.
“Oh, I intend to, trust me.” His eyes glazed over in lust, and I grabbed his arm.
“I’ll run … I mean it.” I looked at him with plaintive eyes, and he pulled his hand away and kissed my cheek.
“Okay.” He took a deep breath. “I’ll give a little … if you will.”
“What do you mean by that?” The elevator doors parted, and we walked into an expanse of space so big I’d thought it might be an empty warehouse, but as my eyes adjusted, I saw it was a huge open plan apartment with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom all in one enormous space. The windows had no window coverings and everything … absolutely every single thing was white.
“Wow, who cleans this place?” I just blurted out … not even sure why.
“Not the first thing people usually say when they enter my home, but my housekeeper cleans it. I pay her an exorbitant amount so don’t start that starving model millennial judgment shit. The woman gets paid. Do you want another beer? Or I have wine, Scotch, vodka, whatever you want.” He moved toward the kitchen at the far end of the room.
“Water?” It didn’t take much to make me tipsy, and I needed my wits if I were going to take him on.
“Sure, I have water; it’s good to stay hydrated. You want weed instead of wine?” Ugh …
“No, just water is fine.” I walked over to the kitchen and plopped myself at the bar.
“Not very fun.” He put the water on the counter in front of me. “So, this is my place. I don’t usually bring people here. Consider yourself lucky.” He turned to the fridge, pulled out an expensive-looking bottle of wine, took a glass from the rack above his head and poured himself a glass of cold white wine. “Sure I can’t tempt you with just one glass?”
“I’m good with water.” I raised the glass to offer him a toast.
“Your place is so big and open; you never feel alone here?” It felt like the loneliest place in the world.
As I watched Alec sip his wine, I thought perhaps his home was a fortress that kept him locked away and alone because he was hiding behind his palace of white just as I hid behind my girls.
