“No,” I groan, feeling empty without him.
“Hold on.” Drake takes the phone away from his ear. “The guys are heading here now. Sorry, angel.”
“Ugh, this shit sucks.” I get up off the desk, find my clothes to put on. Meanwhile all Drake has to do is tuck his cock back in his pants.
“I’ll make it up to you.”
“I know.” He kisses me and then helps me finish getting dressed, which isn’t easy with his lingering hands touching me the entire time.

Pulling out of Giana nearly crippled me. Since the first time we had sex, it’s like I’ve become even more of an addict when it comes to her. But when Bridger called and said they got a lead and was heading back to the office along with Easton, it had to be done.
Giana is my rock. She held my hand the entire time, calming the storm that was brewing deep inside of me.
Bridger and Easton are here. All wanting to tell us the latest news. Kellie went home, something about wine and binge watching a new show on Netflix.
“Hey, so here’s what we’ve got. The stalker was placed strategically in the back northeast corner, really in plain sight when you tracked the food and drink wrappers. We bagged them. Not sure if we’ll get a match, but it’s worth a shot. Someone was bunkered down though. Think a campsite minus the tent. Not sure you want G to hear this or not.” Bridger nods his head to her.
“Yeah, she needs to know. I want her safe.” Giana’s hold on my hand tightens.
“There were pictures there, uh…you know, those kinds of pictures with you and Giana in the pool. Some of just you and some of just her, but in each picture that had her in it, the stalker had a bullseye marked on G’s forehead.” He hands me the pictures, each of it bagged and tagged.
“I assume everything is cleared up?” I question.
“One hundred percent,” Bridger states.
“What about security?” I ask Easton.
“I added more motion detectors that will let you know when someone steps within their range. I’m about to do a few things on the computer to beef up your system too, in case a storm comes through and you have to rely on a generator. Other than that, I think that’s all we can do.”
I’m sure Easton coming home and planting roots back in Virginia with Cam didn’t really entail him working all hours of the day. He left to get away from it.
“Thanks, man, I know Cam is waiting for you at home. If you leave me the bill, I’ll take care of it.”
“What the fuck ever. You know that’s not what this is about. We’re family, but I am going home. Knowing Cam, she’ll have dinner waiting. She’s been working on the house non-stop and has been perfecting this or that.” He has a wistful smile on his face.
“I still appreciate it.” I shake his hand and we pull each other in for a hug and a back slap.
“What am I, chopped liver?” Bridger retorts.
“No one could ever accuse you of that, B,” Giana jokes with him.
“I’ll wait until Slade gets back with the lab results. You know, if your name is anywhere on those papers, your favorite lab technician will work on them double time. That girl was awestruck over Drake. He shut her down so many times, you would have thought she got the message.” He shakes his head.
“And no one really needed to know that, fuck you very much,” I tell him. Giana burrows closer into me, not saying a word, not having a care in the world that this crazy-ass stalker is basically targeting her. She’s happy and smiling over Bridger and his theatrics.
“Babe, I’m not worried,” Giana tells me, reaching up and kissing the corner of my lips. I don’t let that go. I want her lips on mine. At least that will tide me over until we get home tonight.
“I’ll be in my office. No one wants a show. You know?” He walks off, leaving my angel and me laughing as we watch Easton head towards the front door and Bridger going to his office. Who the fuck knows why he’s even here. He should be going home. There’s no use for all of us to be here all night when he could at least be at home with Kellie.
“Come on, you can at least get comfortable and call you parents with the latest news. I’m sure your dad will be sharpening his knives and cleaning his guns as soon as you get off the phone.” Giana’s dad may work at the local high school, but he means business when it comes to protecting his family. I think that’s probably why we hit it off so fast. Now, if I could get my parents to come home. They came back from one vacation and went on another, then my aunt needed help with something or other. So, they loaded up and left town again.
