Eight Brothers Fiancee (Love by Numbers 7)

Rogan let out a fake gasp. “I would never talk to you that way, dear.” I giggled, grabbed Rogan’s hand and led him out of the office. “Where are you headed next?”
“The label,” I responded. “Delvin and Maverick are signing that god awful rapper.”
Rogan laughed. “He brings in money.”
“Yeah, and runs out my nerves.” I kissed him. “Love you.”
“Love you too.”
T.J. drove me to the record label and I asked if he’d be willing to hang out because I wouldn’t be long. I popped into the Foxx Entertainment office where I was warmly greeted like a character from Cheers. I passed through security and made my way back to Delvin’s office where he and Maverick were sitting with Kaine, their new rapper.
“Kaine, take five,” Delvin announced.
Kaine stood up and waddled his way past me, looking me up and down as he went. “I really don’t like him.”
“I know. We’ll get a few hit singles and an album out of him and cut him loose.” Maverick was sitting in one of the leather chairs in Delvin’s office and when I was close enough, he pulled me down into his lap. “Since we have five minutes…”
I laced my fingers into his hair. “Sorry baby. I’m due at the studio in less than an hour to record a special.” I pecked him on the lips. “We’ll get plenty in this weekend.”
“Well don’t tease me, you know I’m gonna pop a boner and my dick is remarkably large, so everyone will see it.”
Delvin laughed. “But you’re short, so it’ll be hidden by all the desks you walk by.” Maverick held up a middle finger and I hopped out of his lap. I leaned over Delvin’s desk and grabbed his tie to pull him to me and gave him a kiss. “Great, now I’m gonna pop a boner.”
“Here’s the article for your new,” I put my fingers up to do air quotes “artist.”
Delvin laughed. “Thanks, gorgeous.”
The door to the office opened and Quentin and Keaton wandered in. When they saw I was inside, both of their faces lit up. “Hey!” Keaton greeted.
“Hi.” I turned around and allowed myself to be sandwiched by them, kissing Quentin in front of me and then turning my head to give Keaton one as well.
Maverick scoffed. “Everyone’s leaving with boners today.”
Delvin crossed his arm. “No kidding.”
“I gotta go. Wish me luck,” I said.
“You don’t need it,” Quentin replied.
As I scuttled out of the office, Keaton whacked my ass, and I let out a yelp. “Love you too!”
I returned to T.J.’s car and he brought me over to Foxx Towers. I made my way down to the studio and when the elevator doors opened, Malia was standing there looking at me.
I held my hands straight up in the air. “Please don’t hurt me.”
“You know what, Alexa,” she rolled her eyes, “that joke stopped being funny like a month ago.”
Sadie walked out of the production office and linked arms with me. “Agree to disagree.”
Malia wasn’t terrible for the company, just for the men at the company and all of the people involved in her and Dante’s little scheme. After talking things over with Sadie and finding out they were actually pretty close, she explained how she had just fallen into Dante’s plan because she thought it was the only option she had. Her expansion ideas were solid once she removed the whole ‘splitting up the brothers’ piece of it, so once the dust settled, I convinced them to hire her as a business consultant. She’d done nothing but positive things for the company. We were already in the midst of establishing an international office in Italy that Sienne was going to head.
“So,” Sadie said. “No baby, huh?”
“I never said there was one,” I squealed at her.
“That was sneaky, sis,” she hissed back. “I’ll forgive you. Dante’s considering hanging it up for good and going legit. My family is so much stronger.”
“Good. I’m happy for you.”
Sadie walked me over to the stage, kissed me on my cheek, and then sauntered off and I saw that Harley and Huxley were already sitting on the sound stage.
I was finally getting my Foxx expose. A real look into the Foxx family to promote the expansion of their company, and I was the head producer and journalist on the story. Foxxes always make good on their word. I walked up onto the stage and Harley and Huxley both glowed in my direction. I walked over to Huxley and gave him a kiss, which would have been longer were it not for Harley yanking me away from him. He spun me over to him and into a passionate kiss. Some of the stagehands even started to whistle.
“You ready for your tell all, Mr. Foxx?” I asked him.
“Ever since I met you,” Harley responded, “I’ve been ready.”
