Defying His Charm - Page 41

The whole time, he was thinking about Naya. He liked her smiles, her laughter, her eyes, her hair, and her body. Oh yeah, he loved her body. And what’s more, he loved the way her body reacted to his every touch. Hell, he only needed to look in her direction and she was on fire for him.

“All ready, sir,” the cashier announced and placed a very large bag on the countertop.

Luke pulled several bills from his wallet and paid for the food, grabbing the bag and almost sprinting out. He wanted, no, he needed to be with Naya tonight. She soothed the ferocious beast inside of him. Just her smile or her gentle touch could make him feel better.

“I’m picking you up,” he texted her, then shoved his phone away, not wanting to read anything that would contradict his plan. He wanted her, he was going to treat her like a lady and bring her food. If she kicked him out after dinner because they weren’t at his place, so be it. He would be fine, as long as he could spend a few hours in her company over dinner.

Five minutes later, he was standing in front of her doorway, the bag of food in his hand. He was just about to knock when the door opened up and Naya was standing there in a white, silk robe and…nothing else!

Luke stood in the doorway, his eyes moving from her anxious expression, confused for half a second before his glance moved lower, taking in the fact that the silk was barely covering all the luscious, perfect, beautiful parts of her curvaceous figure.

“Naya,” he growled, stepping into the small house and slamming the door closed behind him. He wasn’t aware of the bag of food landing on the floor as he move closer to her.

Naya stepped back, her hands nervously clutching at the tie of her silk robe. She’d done it, but his reaction wasn’t nearly what she’d been hoping for. She felt silly now, standing in her tiny foyer in nothing but the silk robe.

“You don’t like it,” she whispered, wishing she could turn back time. Just five minutes. Right before she’d hurriedly decided that she was going to be brave. “It was a stupid idea.” She stepped backwards, about to run into her bedroom and put more clothes on. But two strong hands stopped her retreat, turning her around.

“Don’t like what?” he asked and Naya looked at him, not understanding the strange tone to his voice.

“The robe. I’m embarrassing you.” But he didn’t look embarrassed. He looked…like he was on fire.

“You’re not embarrassing me,” he murmured as he pulled her closer. “Hell no. Embarrassment is the very last thing I am feeling right now.”

He pulled her even closer, his fingers moving up her arm, smoothing along the silk and then…back down her chest, over her breast. His finger rubbed over her nipple. “Why in the world would you think I was embarrassed?” he demanded, not releasing her hands as he continued to run his finger over the nipple. The peak was emphasized by the soft texture of her robe and he couldn’t ever remember being this turned on in his life.

Okay, maybe last night he’d been this on fire. But last night, he’d also been painfully aware that she was a virgin. Tonight, he didn’t have that issue. He could show her other things, more interesting things. More positions. Of course, last night’s positions had been pretty incredible!

When she moaned, her body arching towards then away from his touch, he smiled, more than ready for different positions.

Then again, there was nothing wrong with the tried and true positions. Especially when he knew that he needed to be inside of her. Inside her heat. Watching her body move with his thrusts.

“I brought dinner,” he told her, still watching, still entranced as his finger moved over to her other nipple.

“Dinner,” she nodded, her eyes closed. “Dinner is good.”

“I thought no dinner,” he teased, pinching her nipple and throbbing when she gasped out loud.

“Okay, no dinner,” she replied, almost swaying towards his fingers that were driving her crazy with need.

He spun her around, his hands pushing her up against the door. Her eyes flew open and she looked up at him, questioning.

“Don’t move,” he commanded. Dinner was forgotten. The only thing on his mind was stripping this woman bare and making love to her. Maybe right here. Right now.
