Snow actually looked into the cramped backseat like he was contemplating it.

Jude chuckled. The thought of the two of them naked and sweaty in such a tight place appealed on some level. It was the ‘at his mother’s place’ that kept him from totally enjoying the fantasy. “Come on. I’ll drive to my apartment where it’s not all that much warmer, but we can get all the way naked and generate some serious body heat under the covers.”

“It’s not warmer?”

“I picked up an electric heater and can’t leave it on while I’m gone. But it works fast. Small space.” He grinned. “I’ll turn it on when we get there so it won’t be freezing for long. My landlord is out of town, so I haven’t tried tracking him down to get someone out to repair the apartment heater. I took a look at it, but it’s ancient, so I had no idea how to fix it.”

“I might be able to help. I fixed one a lot as a kid.”

Jude kissed him hard on the lips, then shook his head. “Not tonight. I want you naked.”

Snow made a choking noise, pushed him away, and hurriedly jogged around to the passenger side of the vehicle. “What are you waiting for?” he growled as he slid inside then slammed the door shut.

Grinning, Jude looked up and spotted his mother in the window. She gave him a cheeky wave. Heat swamped his neck as he got into his car. He wondered how long she’d been standing there, then didn’t care. All he wanted was his dick inside the general.

“Drive fast,” Snow ordered.###

Jude unlocked his door, then turned and looked at Snow. The doctor stood, leaning against the wall at the top of the stairs, regarding him with a heated stare that said the man planned to do all sorts of naughty things to his body. His sad, broken expression of earlier was gone—all gone—and Jude couldn’t be happier. In fact, the sultry arrogance that had first made him harder than a spike was back in full force. It rolled off the man in waves of sensuality.

Jude gripped the edges of Snow’s coat in his fists. He grinned and dragged him inside his apartment, then shoved him into the wall.

“You certainly have a thing for grabbing me and shoving me against things,” Snow muttered.

Jude stiffened. “Complaining?”

Snow clenched his fingers around Jude’s waist and pulled their hips closer. “No.”

Jude narrowed his eyes, studying the doctor. He knew he had a habit of taking over—not in all aspects of life, but he got off on it in the bedroom. Always had. It had been the only point of contention between him and Michael and probably the reason they’d drifted apart. With Brian, it had been the first thing the other man liked—it just hadn’t been enough in the long run.

Jude didn’t want to tie someone down and beat them, he just…loved turning a strong man to putty in his hands. And he loved nothing more than pushing a man up against a wall and going at him. With Snow, that need burned like a live volcano deep in his body and it was all he could do not to christen every wall in their near vicinity. He knew why. Because an answering need smoldered inside the doctor. It blazed from those stunning, light blue eyes.

And that hint of vulnerability, that need for love made Jude want to give the man everything.

He realized he’d been silent too long when curiosity filled Snow’s expression and he tilted his head and looked into Jude’s face. “I don’t have a problem with your dominant streak. I thought I’d proved that.” A hint of concern tightened his lips and he reached up and stroked his fingers over Jude’s jaw.

Jude closed his eyes, overcome by the unexpected soft touch. “I don’t always have to be such a Neanderthal.”

A low chuckle made his eyes flip back open.

“I’m serious here. This means,” Jude paused, swallowed, his tone low and raspy with emotion. “This thing between you and me means something important to me and I don’t want to fuck it up because my inner caveman sometimes takes over when I’m excited.”

“I like you excited. I like that I make you this excited.” Snow tugged his hips until they were flush with his own. “And it’s good that you don’t always have to be in charge. I’m used to being the Neanderthal, Torres, so I’m sure I’ll want the job back occasionally.” He stopped and Jude was gifted with another of those real, blinding smiles. “But just so you understand, I find being pushed up against things hot. In fact…I kind of have a thing for it. So feel free.”

Jude groaned and immediately pressed him harder into the wall. “You probably shouldn’t have said that. I’ll be pressing you against every vertical surface I can find.”
