“You stay away from my best friend,” Josh orders her. She gives a dramatic eye roll.
“Why don’t we focus on cake?” Bunny chimes in before they can start fighting. I run my hand across her stomach, deciding I don’t want to go anywhere, so I pick her back up and put her down in my lap. She leans back against me while we watch the two of them destroy the kitchen so we can all eat cake to spoil our dinner.
Life is sweet. I never doubted for a moment that Bunny would be mine after she first stepped out onto that stage. I had felt her in my soul before I even laid eyes on her. I was lucky enough to get my hands on her and I plan on never letting go.* * *
