When I did, he slowly slid back, rocking into me in measured but insistent movements. I relaxed, lying back again as my body adjusted, and let my eyes shut so I could concentrate on the sensation. He filled me so completely that it lit up areas of my body that had long lain dormant. I felt my eyes flutter open, but they were rolled back as my brain short-circuited around the pleasure of the moment. When I finally gained some measure of control again, I looked up into his strained face. He was taking it slow, making sure I was ready for him. When I finally seemed like I was, he would speed up and go harder. I knew it was torture for him to wait.

“Mason,” I whispered in a hoarse breath. “Harder.”

A grin spread across his face.

“Harder,” I said, louder this time, more insistent.

Needing no further instruction, he gripped my thighs with his hands and flung them up so my ankles rested on his shoulders. Wrapping fingers around my waist and pulling me toward the edge of the bed, he rested one knee on the mattress beside it. I braced myself as he plunged deeper into me and reared back again. My voice caught in my throat as he began to slam into me, fucking me with an increasing hunger, a need for release.

I felt the oncoming climax this time, building tension deep in my core. While the first was powerful and quick, a blast of sensation, this was a wave. Heavy and slow, but unstoppable. With every thrust I was brought closer. I pushed my elbows into the bed and sat up as best I could, pressing my lips into his. He fucked me faster, his cock hammering into my wet, pulsing pussy. Finally, a roar began deep in his belly, and the wave began to crest, to crash down over me.

“Yes,” I called out to him, our lips just inches from each other. “Please, come with me.”

His eyes shut tight, and his cock slammed into me harder. My head fell back as the wave crashed around me and sent my body through spirals and spirals of ecstasy as he came hard. His body pulsed and shook as he exploded into me, and my pussy squeezed him until he was dry, crumbling into my arms and spent.18MasonI might not have stopped smiling in the last two months. If I wasn’t eating, drinking, or sleeping, I was smiling. And I was certain I was smiling while I was sleeping, too. Actually, a correction to that. In addition to eating, drinking, and sleeping, sometimes my mouth was occupied with kissing Ava. Which just started all that smiling up all over again.

It wasn’t a terrible state of existence. In fact, I was feeling great. I was happier and feeling better about life than I had in as long as I could remember. Probably since before Ava left. After our first date having lunch together at our old favorite restaurant, we were inseparable.

When I first asked her out again, I told myself to be patient. This might take a while. Each of us needed our time to get accustomed to the other one again, and to figure out how we could work together as a couple in this new place in our lives. After all, we weren’t kids anymore. We were adults with years of life behind us, new challenges, and new priorities.

Except, it didn’t work out like that. We tumbled right back into each other. And even with all that life behind us, we were able to find each other again without any struggle. I couldn’t have been happier about that.

It was far more than I expected. If anyone had asked me just three months ago if I thought Ava and I would ever be reunited, I would have told them they were crazy. It never seemed like a possibility. At least, not after all the years that passed since she left. There was a time right after we broke up and she left town when I couldn’t imagine that she wouldn’t come back, and we wouldn’t get back together.

She was everything to me. She had been since I was old enough to think about her that way. The thought of us not sharing our lives just didn’t process for me. For a long time, I waited for her. I tried to prepare myself for what it would be like when she came back. Even going so far as to read about how I could help her cope with what she was going through after losing the baby.

But she just never came back. I waited and I waited. It took a long time for me to finally come to terms with the reality that the life I had imagined with Ava wasn’t going to happen. We weren’t going to get married and settle down and raise a family right here where we’d been raised. I forced myself to accept that and told myself to move on.
